And he's only behind Ewing by 432 pts with 25 games to go in the regular season, he's on pace to reach the 25k mark by season's end and take sole position on 20th on the all time scoring list.

And by the end of the 2015-16 season, if he averages 25-26 ppg he could easily be in the top 10, taking over Hakeem Olajuwon.

If he stays reasonably healthy he should have no problem being top 3 when all is said and done.

The thing with Lebron is that if he takes care of his body he could easily play until he's 40, because he does so many things well. You could play him at "point PF" and he could get you 15/7/5 even in limited minutes.

I don't think Lebron's body is going to age very well. I personally think he has taken either HGH or steroids and does not anymore. I would predict his body will really start breaking down around 35 or 36 unless he can somehow really change his body. I am also biased though in that his off court persona and the ways refs have called his game has really detracted from me being able to enjoy his game. I will be pretty happy when he leaves the NBA. Enjoy seeing the spotlight move on to Durant, Davis and Curry.

Well, you've got to consider that James is 30, which means that he was 16 when AI was in his prime. I assume he'll say the same thing if/when he passes Jordan, who was in full 'be like Mike' mode when LeBron was even younger and even more impressionable.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

A few things.
Regarding HGH, I was clear to say it is just my opinion and there isn't available public evidence to support it. However, saying so doesn't reflect hatred for James.  If there was something that wasn't tested for and helped someone go through a ridiculously grueling schedule recover easier from injuries and soreness, it makes a lot of sense to do. I also am of the opinion that a lot of players use HGH or other substances at a pretty high rate so this isn't something that is restricted to James. I mentioned it in this discussion because we are discussing how his body will age.  In the case of James, I think combined with his natural levels of muscle he probably has put extra years of stress on his body that is going to lead to chronic injuries down the line. Furthermore, now that the league is changing their testing policies he (or other players) will not be able to use these substances to help recover from future injuries.

I actually don't even think HGH is a horrible thing if that is what he did. At some point in the future it will probably be made legal

As for the rest of it, is it not fair to say I don't particularly enjoy his game or personality without being labeled a "hater?" I think he whines to the refs, flops and doesn't get called for nearly enough of his own fouls, contributing to him sometimes going a year between fouling out of games. There are other players that I don't like because of how they interact with officials (Chris Paul would be a prime example) I also don't like the theatrics he brings to the game. I find it really annoying when a player postures and celebrates like crazy after a good play. For example, last night I thought it was really pathetic when Lin shook his head around and did a back jump on after getting a shot in the foul in a game that wasn't over while playing for an 11 win team.

I will turn this on you since you have called me a hater. Do you really enjoy Lebron's game and not think these criticisms are valid?

I honestly think it's unreasonable to completely disregard HGH use. I totally get when someone thinks he doesn't, but too many people brush it off as a possibility.

He may or may not use HGH, but from where i'm sitting, it seems likely that he did/does

I'll never forget when he had that growth on his jaw (because that's normal and not at all a side effect of HGH  ;))

And YES i am a hater, and it may or may not skew my opinion of him

Yes the growth, the baldness, the extreme weight loss after a change in testing policies. These are certainly all things that could just be random, but especially the growth was pretty unusual.

not to completely dismiss this accomplishment, because it is a big deal.  But Ive heard this discussed on the radio a couple times today and now I see it here in this thread and the thing that annoys me is that everyone gushes at where he is right now at such a young age, but no one seems to mention that Lebron came out of high school, didnt go to college, so he has as much as a 4 year head start on all these guys except for Kobe of course.

dont get me wrong, even if you factor games played instead of age, its still a big deal, but people today were acting like hes completely destroying everyone thats played the game

That's true -- and it's funny to see him at the head of all the 'youngest ever to' records, too.

Err, I'm pretty sure I edited my post to clarify that it wasn't in reference to your message.  Look, it's right here:

By the phrase "like clockwork" you are obviously stating that my post is an example of the type of post you are referencing. Do you agree or disagree with my viewpoints? Should we have a conversation or just post and laugh and be silly. Wooohoo

My only point was that someone would inevitably bring up either steroids, HGH, and/or hate on LeBron.  You're reading too far into it.

Yeah but he is also 3rd all time in PPG behind only Jordan and Chamberlain.  Now granted he hasn't had his end of the career dip yet, but he has also played on a number of teams (the last 5 years) with other elite scorers.
