I cannot stand for the Celtics to lose to the Lakers.  I am 70 years old so therefore I have lived through all the C's battles, specifically those with the Lakers and I can assure you that to this day those ugly purple and yellow Unis bring back a lot of crazy memories. I think the Lakers used to try and call their purple by the name, "Forum blue" after the old Forum.

whatever,  last night's fiasco was not enjoyable especially when you consider Boston would have won easily with Sully and less help for the Lakers from the officials.

I fully agree that losing to the Lakers sucks. Any tanking notions I might have go out the window against those guys. And yes, they did indeed call it "Forum blue," and some Lakers fans still do.

I agree that the officiating was awful. I will add, however, that the Cs shot themselves in the foot several times with terrible passes, ugly turnovers, missed shots, etc. It was yet another case of the team spiraling out of control in the last part of the fourth quarter—we've seen that many times this season.

I don't think Sully was that missed Zeller really stepped up on the boards.    You have to realize that for all the good Sully does is negated by his D at some points.   I thought our team got up and down the floor better without Sully.  Sully would have been gassed by OT and shot and missed 3-4 threes if he had played as he usually does.   He probably would have helped but we are not exactly a winning team with him in there, either.   LA wanted it more they won a lot of what coaches call contested plays.  They won the battles for lose balls.   They were trying to win it too.

For all the talk of improvement, Sully shot almost the same percentage on his threes this year as he did last year.    Last year 28% and this year 29%.  So much for working on his shot last season.

We lived as a team by the three last night and we died by it shooting 8-33.  That is miserable 24% as a team almost Sullyesque in shot percentage.

The refs were bad  38 FTA and a stupid ejection.   That call was bad and I think the league helped LA.  But I think we have to look in the mirror for the reason of the loss.

I agree that is one game that I didn't want us to see us lose.   I wish we had signed Ed Davis in the off season to help in rim protection.

I have to agree, it's hard to stomach losses to the Lakers under any circumstances.

those refs made me very angry, I was ready to flip the table after the Thomas ejection...what the hell was that. The two phantom fouls on Bradley was also bad

Boozer got away from pushing Bradley and Bradley got called for a push off right after (SERIOUSLY!?!?!)

The Lakers did us a favor by winning.

We are always one step ahead of them.
