Ultimately, it's a meaningless game with two poor teams. But this feels like the perfect example of a rigged NBA game, for the over and/or for the Lakers.

First, Vegas took a ton of money on the Celtics tonight. 78% of bets were on the Celtics: http://www.scoresandodds.com/casinogrid.html

And I think the actions of the referees speak for themselves. Stuff including:

-Tossing Thomas in a scenario that 99% of the time only results in a technical.
-Touch fouls to propel the Lakers in the 4th.
-An obscene amount of free throws overall by both teams.

It's amazing the Celtics were able to even make it to OT.

I was impressed by the Celtics because they worked so hard to force overtime. They were playing against the Lakers and the referees, plus the Lakers crowd was rocking.

don't be silly. nba franches are worth over $60,000,000,000. i cant even begin to imagine how much money is earned from ads, franchise merchandise, TV revenue and the like.

you believe the nba would risk all this over peanuts for vegas? or fix a game between losing teams? preposterous.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Touch fouls? Like the clean block Ronnie Price made on Jae Crowder late in the fourth that was whistled a foul?

Never mind. There is no convincing people with conspiratorial thinking.

Definitely don't think this game was fixed, but they refs were awful tonight. This is the kind of game i want to see more fire out of Brad stevens from. If he would have gotten tossed tonight for arguing calls i would have loved it. That thomas situation was handled pitifully from the referees and we did get called for a ton of questionable calls. Tommy would have had a heart attack yelling on air tonight.
