I'm actually surprised he even got 1 T. He slammed the ball in a demonstrative way but I thought they usually let that go since he caught it about waist high. It was really more like a power dribble. It's not like he slammed it and let it bounce ten feet in the air like a super-ball I would've bought at the supermarket for a quarter in 1988.

What IT4 provides the C's is someone offensively can create his own shot and is the only 1 that can do it. He is a guard willing to get into the paint and the free throw line. Overall he has a well balance game. The 2 T's was on a horrible call and yes he does need to keep his cool but I love his passion for the game. Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley need to learn from IT4 on how to create their own shot because all they know how to do is jack up long 2s and 3s.

IT is a keeper. Loved Smart smacking him five as he walked off the court. Tough kids. The bench was up the whole game. Crowder had Battier-esque poise. Bradley was fire. Turner, Bass and Zeller battled.

Let's get Stanley Johnson on this team and Sullynyk healthy. Grab a center and go for the playoffs next year.

We lost tonight but... CELTICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

horrible call

if lebron slams the ball like that

no ref would call technical on him

Agreed. Honestly they let that go almost every time if the player catches it on the way up like IT did.

Some refs just want to establish themselves

but they only use the opportunity when its a lesser established player like IT

I feel like that sort of thing (slamming the ball) is just emotion. IT isn't trying to show up the refs or anything he's just frustrated. I don't like it when guys get T'd up for showing some heart. If a player slams the ball and then eyes the ref down or something then fine but I hate it when refs punish guys for wearing their heart on their sleeve.

Fun kid to watch, puts a smile on my face, makes me excited to watch the Celtics, and in my opinion already worth what we gave up to get him.

Or so you claim.

Lebron doesn't slam balls. Wade does, and he gets called for techs all the time. I've seen Kobe get a ton of techs.

Lebron doesn't try to intimidate refs. He argues calls, but pretty relatively respectfully. Like Duncan. Duncan argues all the time, but in a very mild way. Some players are like that. Others are like Cousins or Kobe who try to make the ref feel like an idiot.

I guess that is the proof that Lebron gets called for fouls when he slams balls. That wasn't even due to a call.

It's just proof that both of you are wrong. LeBron got a T for slamming and he also does everything you said he doesn't.

ive seen lebron do the same thing IT did, Slam the ball out of anger , the ball bounces back in his hands and on we go......ref just looks, maybe thinks about it, you can see the ref looking but he wont blow the whistle, ive seen it in every series boston has player against miami

The one he does in your video, he slams it right into the stands.....WAY WORSE then IT, not only that but he doesnt slam it to himself

Ive seen it dozens of times, all players in the league do that same thing, slam the ball hard into their own hands

you see it at the gym all the time too

never do you see someone spike it it into a crowd

even in the gym your getting your ass kicked out or reprimended for it.

Birth certificate says "Isaiah Thomas", but his game say "Alan Iverson", except more efficient. This dude is a nasty basketball player. I think the only reason he's undervalued is the height. That's it. He plays like a bigger player, similar to how Pedroia swings like a bigger hitter. He was impressive tonight, but go look at his game logs from last year. This is apparently what Isaiah Thomas* already did and can do on the regular. Except even a little better.

I think Ainge sneakily got the first part of a future Big Three or Four or Five. And if Smart develops slightly more in the direction of Wade than Tony Allen, that'd be two starting parts already in place. The backcourt would be all set into the 2020's, the remaining multitude of assets all for conversion into a couple frontcourt stars. Plausible reason for excitement, yay.

*He needs a nickname good enough to make us forget he's named Isaiah Thomas.

We just watched Boogie Cousins show up the refs like a WWE villain.
