maybe we should have at least given him a try-out with the Celtics when we had him

I believe he will be a free agent after this season, so if we really like him we could offer a contract then.

Why does this game matter more than, say, the 6 previous games, where he was averaging around 7 points per game on 44% shooting? Or, really, his entire NBA career?

Because if someone likes/wants a player they only look at the good. Never the bad.

Yes, a good game for him....which puts his 2014-5 shooting % just north of 40%, and his 3 Pt % above 30%.

This is his third year, by which time he should have a good feel for the league, and show what he's capable of.  Unfortunately, that doesn't look to be much.  I don't see him as better than any of the Celtics guards perhaps save Pressey.  No reason to keep him...sadly, I think he'll struggle to stay in any teams' rotation, long-term.

Remember when Doc was putting pressure on the Cs brass to trade up and draft him back in 2012?  Instead, we keep the 21st pick, 11 after Rivers, and nab Sully....a much better player. :)

Some stiffs have 50 point games, so I'll take this game with a grain of salt.

Anybody pointed out this was mostly in garbage time and entirely against a Kings team playing shockingly bad defense even by their standards?

i think you just did.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Tony Delk once scored 53 points during a career that saw him average less than 10 points a game, soooo...
