Cole's name came up as a trade target for Washington too. Perhaps the Pistons will move on him now.

Hopefully a new start will get Sessions' career back on track.

Confused why Sacramento has gone so badly for Sessions.

He's such a pick and roll specialist, maybe didn't fit with other players?

Andre Miller is a smart smart player.

Ramon Sessions will add a spark to the Wizards.

Gonna be an interesting day.

I'm guessing this means no Dragic to Sac.

I wonder why Miller didn't work out in WAS. Rather have him than Sessions, but maybe the date on his expiration label finally passed. As for someone failing in SAC, pretty easy to see why.  Problems at PF, bench, and SG especially. Staukas has been a bust and HOFer-to-be McLemore is strictly catch and shoot at this point and both suck otherwise  with PERs under 10 and defensive ratings of 112.

I'm guessing this means no Dragic to Sac.

Clears out $2 million in salary owed next year.  Kings are now at about $13 million cap space next summer, so closer to being able to make an offer to Dragic in free agency.

If he doesn't want to sign there now, what makes you think it will be any different on the open market?

When the open market doesn't present to him the offers he's anticipating, he might change his mind.

At least thats what the Kings hope.  There was an earlier report they were looking to move Jason Thompson to clear salary space to acquire Dragic.  This looks to be in the same vein.

He should be able to command at least a Hayward type of deal in the offseason, but that's just how I see it. Don't think 12 million will do it.

This seems right. Can't imagine anyone wanting to go to SAC all things being relatively equal. They suck and SAC is small market as far as endorsement $.

Firstly, $13 million is more than $12 million.  Secondly, it's one trade closer to getting the space that they need.  Again, I think Sac is just going to be left holding a bag of money, but clearing salary when you can isnt a bad idea.

I feel kind of bad for Andre Miller. He is obviously very close to the end of the line and goes from a team that is a contender in the east, or at least a serious playoff team, to a team destined for the lottery with a potentially disgruntled superstar. Not to mention, moving across the country and into Sacramento. That has to suck (as much as things can suck for someone making millions of dollars to play basketball)
