It's been rumored for some time that KG would be willing to return to Minny to finish his career. I wonder if he will be given the choice.  I also wonder if he'd come back here for a few months instead, especially if we do make a playoff push of sorts.

Great trade for Brooklyn. Thaddeus Young is a big improvement over the dross the have been playing at PF all season long.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
That would be a good deal for Brooklyn. Sentimental value wise, also for Minnesota.

Thad is definitely an upgrade and is someone that the Nets can re-sign and be a part of their team  moving forward. And how great would it be for KG to finish his career where he started. Minny ain't going anywhere anyway, might as well sell the Big Ticket.

if the nets did not and has no plan to resign pierce to avoid the repeater tax
why would they signed young who is double the salary or at 10million range salary

trade johnson and lopez to avoid the tax?

That would be a great story. Selfishly, I have tickets for the Wolves/Jazz next month and would love to see KG play one more time.

I wish Ainge would facilitate this and get Dieng out of it somehow  :(

Works straight up in the Trade Machine.

But it seems like a poor return for Young. Great story, though.
Yep, and it's not like the Nets have first-rounders to add...

I guess you mean Dieng.  That's like... not how facilitating works.  Lol

Totally...

"Yo this is Danny Ainge.  I hear you guys are thinking about doing a pretty straight-forward swap of Thad Young for KG's expiring deal.  Let me facilitate this baby... I'll throw a completely unnecessary trade exception into the mix and you give me BY FAR the best asset in the deal"

They need some type of pick to get this done IMO. Nets have no picks to trade.

Given he's likely to use his ETO I'm skeptical they can get much of anything for him.

Sounds like a done deal now:

Well, unlike most Celt fans I see KG more as a Twolve.  He was a good rental though.

Agree.  I just don't like TYoung on Brooklyn.  Don't know him well enough to know if opt-out is likely this summer.
