He has built a championship team before
He's trying to get as much value as he can with the veterans by trading them for assets

And he probably is only checking the price with dragic, Jackson and cousins
Every team checks the price of a player a team is willing to deal
That's how teams like the rockets are able to get a franchise player like harden for young players and a couple of picks
