I'd much rather have Dragic or Lawson than Jackson.  I don't see the fascination with him.

It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

How long until the C's are involved? I actually think he's a better fit here than Dragic

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
This just in:

Cman has requested a trade from his current low paying job to a job that pays him $1M a year, plus bonuses.

Just spitballing, here, but how about Cman and two (protected) firsts for Evantime34?
Evantime doesn't make $1MM a year haha!
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Reggie Jackson just took a big ol doo-doo all over OKC's leverage.

EDIT: But if they can get it done, Reggie Jackson and Kendrick Perkins for Stauskas and Jason Thompson might be worth doing.

Cousins wants to play with pass first PGs. Not guys who look to score first and foremost.

Maybe Avery/Bass for Perkins/Reggie/PJ3..

Why Thunder:
Avery is probably the only guard that can play with Russ without wanting to leave lol.
Thunder also needs big man depth for a run this year, so Bass would be good.

Why Celtics:
Reggie would have to sign immediately
Kendrick becomes the temporary "rim protector" in preparation for a playoff run.
PJ3 might do some damage eventually

Yes but its all about "accumulating assets" and with your job, and a few more first round picks, who knows, I might be able to trade for RH's salary!

Just call me "trader Cman". Danny could learn a thing or two.
Celtics fan for life.

Reggie seems like an all around good player but has trouble with his 3 point shot to date.  He is in his 4th year and is in position to mature as a starter on a team where he does not feel like he is in the shadow of westbrook.
He is signed through next year and would provide a solid return in the off season or next year at the trade deadline would we wish to move him.
I think he makes more sense at this point than Dragic but not currently as good a plaer. Has the potential to be as good.

Also, Reggie comes up big in the playoffs. He is a player not scared of the big moments.

I would bet we trade for him before we would Dragic. Either would seem to work in a combo back court with Smart.

The trade deadline of point guards! Honestly, I'd be happy with either of them (Jackson or Dragic) if the price is right. Actually, something like Perk and Jackson for Thornton and Crowder would be good for both sides.
This all just makes Danny look smarter for trading Rondo when he did instead of waiting until the deadline.  Sure, he probably should have traded Rondo a couple years ago when his trade value was higher, but at least he had the foresight to realize this deadline he'd be trying to trade Rondo on a market with better options available.

Reggie is a decent defender and a good passer and shooter--except that he shoots like Sully at the 3-point line.

True. Lawson, Dragic, and Jackson all would've drove down the price.

I wonder if Dallas wishes they had waited and had a shot at Jackson or Lawson or Dragic or Thomas.

After Rondo got his face smashed in, sure.  Otherwise, I'm. It sure most of those guys would have meshed very well with Ellis, except perhaps Lawson, who's availability is most suspect of the bunch.

Thornton is useless on a Thunder team with Roberson, Waiters, Morrow, and Lamb.  If they trade Jackson, they're going to need a credible facilitator for the second unit.
