I think Ainge is an asset broker. If he can buy an asset that he thinks is worth more than it's cost then he is going to do that. If he has an asset that is overvalued he will sell it.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I picked the tire kicker one, but I don't see the middle two options as really being an either/or situation. As for the last choice, yes he has been selling since draft night, but I think if the right opportunity had presented itself he would have traded for a player(s) that could help immediately, so long as it was also a good long term move.
The two are very different.
Tire kickers are not serious buyers they are there really to admire or learn more about a type of car model and it's value. Often they don't even have the money / willingness to spend.

The other one is the wheeler and dealer. The flipper of goods. A buy low to sell high type profitier/hustler.

Well based off that clarification I changed to the 'always looking to buy low and take chances' option, turning this whole election on it's head!

I originally thought tire kicker because while I think Ainge has the freedom with the current situation of the team to consider lots of different moves, he shouldn't feel obligated to necessarily make any trade at all. It's a case by case situation with every offer.

To me that is the problem with the poll, I could have just as easily chosen all the above if the option was  there    ;D
Poll or C's problem lol

Not a C's problem yet. Actually it is kind of fun and entertaining watching people trying to guess what he is doing. As can be seen in the rumors, nobody knows and sometimes I think he isn't sure what direction to go yet, although I am sure he has  an ideal directions and not so much so  :-\

I think Danny is looking for his usual low risk/high reward players, who would ALSO improve our playoff chances without harming our long term rebuild.
This is asking for a LOT. I can't say it won't happen, but I would not give a trade that significantly improves our playoff chances (say IT or Lawson) more than 25% at this stage.
He might however go after bigs like Amare (or earlier this year Hasan) who were allowed to walk away for nothing, but this is another story.

When your GM has built a plethora of assets + 1st round picks....You're always buyers.  That is, if the right deal presents itself.  He'll stay patient though because he's a darn good GM

Danny is tire kicking, he's looking to open some doors, despite the feeding frenzy that is going on around here.

I think any trade or deal, (other than dumping veterans), that happens next may include KO or Sully.

I think it's pretty obvious that he's trying to liquidate the rest of the veterans (Prince, Bass, Thornton) that aren't young enough to stick around and have already developed. Danny is still is seller mode . .. just trying to find the moves that make sense, if any.

He's only buying if something comes incredibly cheap or falls in his lap. He's not buying with an eye to compete this year. That's what a typical 'buyer' team is doing. . . trying to load up for a playoff run.

I think if Danny can get one more 1st and a second (plus expirings) for the three vets mentioned above, he'll be happy.

If not, those vets expire or become S&T fodder as the cap room opens up this summer.

Yes for a FRANCHISE PLAYER.....one that fits the front office scheme

Role players ...maybe ...need to be bargains .....cast off with a lot of upside .....guys DA can give to Stevens to fix up......or flip  ;D.....FOR ASSETS for his piggy bank

While he patiently waits for the right Elite Player (s) to become available .
