  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
It's guys like this that get me excited.
Left handed guard with insane ball control, instincts, body control and a natural ability to switch speeds at any time. Has the required 'killer' that all teams want in a go to guard and would be a night mare on the wing next to Smart.

This season for OSU his stats:
19.5 points per game
6 rebounds
5.5 assists
43% from three on 6.4 attempts a game (lol)
Is left handed

Highlights from Indiana game. (as vid notes, Indiana is terrible defensively, but it shows Russell's offensive instincts.)

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.

As a Michigan fan, I generally hate Ohio State players.  Evan Turner still owes me a few more game-winners to make up for his 40-foot buzzer beater a few years back.

But Russell is awesome.  He's deserving of being a top-3 pick, and I'm glad he'll only be at Ohio for one year.  If the C's move up in the lottery, he'd be a great addition.

I think 6th is the absolute lowest he could slide, but probably goes 2nd.

Knicks - okafor
Wolves  - Russell
sixers - Mudiay
Lakers - Towns
Orlando - st. Johnson
Utah - Hezonja

I don't see any way he drops out of this group.  We need some luck from the ping pong balls.

I think you're right.
He's a lot like Muiday without the explosiveness but a better mid range/3 pt game.

Yeah, I'm not worried about his athleticism.  He's a so-so athlete, but everything else is off-the-charts.  Mudiay is growing on me too.

I'm was also high on Russell throughout the year and had him over mudiay in PG prospects

He is definitely top 3 with Okafor and towns for me

But I think it will depend on how the lottery plays out
I don't see minny taking Russell when they have Rubio who they believe is a great PG despite terrible shooting and slow development

I'm not usually too big into player comps but get chills thinking that he could be a healthy Brandon Roy. Incredible Prospect.

I was thinking about this last night.  What if we sold high on Sullinger?  He's our best player.  He's the guy we can probably least afford to lose.  He's very easy to trade on his rookie deal and a lot of teams would be interested.  His value will never be higher than it is now.  His work ethic is under question -- late for practice a couple times.  Didn't he have a domestic assault a while back?  Gorman and Scal have even been remarking about his pouty body language.  Maybe he's the piece that doesn't fit.  Anyways, just throwing it out as a "what if".  I still maintain that Sully and KO will never be able to co-exist on defense.  What if we could use Sully to turn that Clipper pick into a lotto pick?

He reminds me of Jeremy Lamb,
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

He can play, but he is not a big time athlete folks.  I don't see him as a superb runner or jumper.   I live in Ohio.  Now he is not a poor athlete like Sully or KO, he just isn't stellar.  He does have skills.

I like Dangelo. He's like Goran Dragic and Manu Ginobli blend. Who do you guys like better Russell or Mudiay?

Live in Ohio, Ohio State fan and I just don't see it with him.  He will be a good pro, but I don't see a superstar with him.  He also isn't one of those dominant take the game over type players and often disappears down the stretch of games (one of the reasons Ohio State is a fairly average team for a team with a lot of veterans and a supposed top 5 pick).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Suppose for the sake of argument we package our #1 (let's say its 10), the Clips pick (let's say 21) and Sully. How high could we move up? Could we get into the top 5?

Or, suppose Sac ends up with #6. Would they take Sully or KO plus #10 for that? Would it be worth it?

I just think we need to start trying to trade all these dimes for some quarters.
