What is the Celtics no 1 asset?

Long time Celtics supporter, just recently started posting here, have been following this blog since around 2005.

The term asset collection mode has been thrown around regarding Danny Ainge's moves since trading KG & PP to the Nets.

If you had to put a ranking on which asset has the most value going forward the next 2-3 years right now know would you rate them

Just because I have Ainge and Stevens down the list does not mean I disapprove of them. It's just that there are other qualified GM's and coaches in the world should they ever depart. Ainge himself has acknowledged this(regarding himself being replaceable). I ranked the owners that high because I really can't say I have any bone to pick with the way they operate. Both teams in NY right now are prime examples of just how devastating a bad ownership can be to a franchise. It's hard to separate Isiah and King's awfulness from Dolan and Prohkorov, though(And yes I know Thomas has been out of NY a while now).

 As for why I have the Nets picks ranked #1, well that speaks for itself.

No way to tell.

But I don't know of any GM in NBA history who has compiled so many first round picks.

Danny Ainge has done a great job.

Interesting question.  i'm going to say:

Ainge
Ownership
Stevens
Smart

In that order.  Success - or lack of success - starts at the top.  The Patriots and Knicks being the two biggest examples I can think of.  But Ainge understands the league, has had success and there are so many bad GM's out there...I think replacing him would probably take some time and possibly set the team back at least until ownership could find the right guy - and little changes quickly in the NBA.  Thats why I have him ahead of ownership. 

And about ownership, if its bad, you can still have some successs, but it usually doesn't last long because bad owners will find a way to screw things up - whether its through their own actions or the people they hire.
