is marcus at 100%,even though he is playing tough d.Marcus went off for retape and offensively his vertical seems less explosive after i watched some old clips.Maybe he is just more tentative in pros at this time untill he figures out what works or hisinjury still hampers his lift.

I think the long season is having an effect on Marcus.  He is hitting the rookie wall so to speak.  It wouldn't surprise me if the ankle was sore but if it was anything even close to serious, I would hope that the Celtics would sit him.

I see one or two times a game he lands and favors the ankle. It is still an issue.

i still remember the two sprains i had and thats 50yrs ago-the dr.said i would have been better off breaking it-defense was always safer more in control , and it threw my shooting off first coming back then i adjusted and then through it off again when i started not compensating.I blame my knee injury on over compensation.Ithink kelly will struggle for the rest of season.

Back on July 7, we tweeted, “There will be times this season when Marcus Smart is a NASCAR pileup on turn 3.?.?. but he’ll be a hell of a lot of fun to watch.”

I’m going to take that as a W.

The kid is what could be expected at this stage as NBA point guard duties become more instinctive. He should be significantly better by the end of this season, if only because his ankle will get better and he’ll be more able to get to the basket and show off his strength against the weaker 1’s guarding him.

It was fun hearing scouts debate his potential recently — especially when one of them ended the conversation in nods by saying, “He’s a winning basketball player.”
