So I'm often curious about what a given team's fanbase thinks of their current situation and the best way to do that is to go and look at their blogs and forums.  We are lucky that the best Celtics' blog and forum is literally called "CelticsBlog", making it incredibly easy to find on Google.  However, a lot of teams' worst blog is called "[Their Team] Blog" and it chokes out the results for the sites used by their most knowledgeable fans.

What I would like to do is figure out which is the definitive blog for each team, so I know where to go to get good info or see the most accurate perspective.  Bonus points for sites that also have a Forum like CelticsBlog, which is what I'm really getting at.

Why don't more teams have forums like this site too, by the way?  There are so many on SB Nation and CB is the only one with a real forum.  So weird, is it the cost/energy/dedication needed to moderate it?

Anyways, these are the sites that I'm pretty sure are the best for their team:

Celtics - CelticsBlog   8)
Trailblazers - BlazersEdge (no forum, just comments after the blog posts)
Kings - Sactown Royalty (no forum, but they actively talk in their fan posts unlike everywhere else)
Phoenix Suns - Bright Side of the Sun (no forum)
Clippers - ClippersTopBuzz (has a forum)

Here are the ones that I know of, but figure there might be a better one:

Knicks - Posting and Toasting (this is jokey but I don't know of a better one, no forum.  I love this site, though).  Also, check out this post on James Dolan, ouch: http://www.postingandtoasting.com/2015/2/9/8002107/a-letter-to-james-dolan
Bulls - BlogaBull (no forum, probably a better site but I like this one)
Lakers - LakersNation (have forums but nobody has posted on them in a week, despite their main page saying 2 million people are members of the site).  Silver Screen and Roll seems to have a bigger following

In any case, we need to be proud that we have such active forums.  We objectively have the best fans I've seen in the NBA and I don't think it's close.  Go look here and try to find the most recent discussion - it's a ghost town:  http://forums.lakersnation.com/

I bet that site would be pumping if they were in the playoffs, Lakers fans are such front runners

my Laker friends tell me that LakersGround.net has been their fans bb of choice for quite some time.

but if you are looking for more NBA-wide, still hard to beat Realgm after all these years.

Good thread Q. Here's an active Raptors blog I know of. I'll link you to the forum page but they also have an active comment section.

Do many people on here frequently visit other teams' blogs and sites? Maybe I'm just too focused on the C's and need to branch out to other teams more, but I hardly ever visit any other individual team blog/site. Now I do visit sites like bleacher report, ESPN, and Realgm and other league-wide sites like that, but I'm still focused on the C's or their interests, i.e. their standings compared to other teams or records of teams that we have picks from.

I would say they absolutely do, part of the reason I'm asking is because there are some excellent posters on here who often drop in knowledgeable comments from other fan bases into relevant threads.  I like it for a bunch of reasons, like seeing what the Clippers think of Doc Rivers, seeing what the Mavs fans think of Rondo, reading Nets threads about how they don't have any draft picks, etc.  It's actually pretty fun.

Plus, if I have to go to a social gathering / work party / family party, it's nice to go and read up on teams you know people will follow there, so you can have free conversation without having to think for like 1-2 hours.  It's also good because I can get my girlfriend to watch any game, as long as I can give her the backstory.  This way I can read up on the other team and give more insight.

I like spying on the Lakers .....hee hee..... :D

I just go to .....  Lakerstalk

Some of their threads are funny ,   Their game threads can be a riot ......when they are being pulverized ......and the epic ones about Dwight Howard leaving.

No fan base  is as hard on their coaches as the Lakers ...funny threads too.

I don't have a site to submit but a TP to the OP for the link to that Posting and Toasting letter to Dolan link. ;D ;D

If you didn't like it then you're probably just a miserable alcoholic who ruins the lives of everyone around you.

I think I'm going to have to change my answer from LakersNation (which hosts LakerTalk) to LakersGround.net

They have a much more active poster base and there is some gold on there.  I direct you to a 356 page thread dedicated to Jeremy Lin, featuring 9 bolded rules, one of which is in all caps: DO NOT CALL BYRON SCOTT A RACIST BECAUSE YOU DON'T THINK HE'S PLAYING LIN ENOUGH MINUTES.

This is great.  I think I'll update the first post in a bit and add LakersGround and this, plus anything else anybody knows of.  Posting and Toasting might make it as my official Knicks blog, too.

TPs all around!

I often check out opponents sbnation blogs before a game to see what they think their strengths and weaknesses are so that I know what to watch for during a game.  FLCelticsFan has a post game column on CelticsGreen Blog with opponent fan's blog comments during the game.  Many don't follow our blog rules, but some are hilarious,  check it out.  It is called "Comments from The Other Side."

Thanks for the recommendation!  The thread for the Bucks game the other day featured this back and forth from two Bucks fans:

Bucks fan 1: Sullinger is so fat.

Bucks fan 2: So is Smart. They should call them the Fatics.

Sullinger made their frontcourt look bad in that game. 8-14 shooting, 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 2 steals. Meanwhile Henson negated his 3 block, 5 rebound effort with 4 personal fouls (to Sullinger's 2). Ilyasova scored 9 points off the bench, but had 3 turnovers and 4 fouls.

I read reddit.com/r/nba/.   Very active.  Good content.    Its good to see views from fans of all teams,  rather than just C's fans.

i remember during the 2010 playoff run after the game where Rondo dove under jayson williams to get the loose ball, I was reading a pretty active orlando magic forum after the game and it was like Crack in text form.

So much negativity, so much bitterness towards Pierce, they were so beaten.  There was so much hate towards the C's it was amazing.  It was that point where they finally knew their NBA Finals run the year before was only a result of a KG knee injury.  Most people knew that beforehand, but a magic fan would never admit that, and some of them were on these threads!

now i know its bad that i was getting so much pleasure out of other fans misery, but in my defense I didnt troll them at all, I just read and read and read with a big grin on my face.
