Reggie Jackson and Tobias Harris

If we were to sign or trade for these guys and keep smart and young, and draft a Center. Would this be an intriguing enough young core for people to get excited about?

In this situation, Harris would be the PF?

And for how much would both of their new contracts be? $14 mil a year each? More?

Would love Harris on the C's, but I believe he is a RFA and the Magic would just match whatever is offered to him.

It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

Like both players. We could trade for Jackson but I like Smart at the PG and Young at the SG.

Harris isn't going any where. Too bad as he would be great with Smart, Young, Sully and Z.

I personally think Jackson is going to be over payed this off-season and I don't want the Cs to be the team that does it. I worry that his areas of weakness would negatively effect a developing team over the long term(lack of outside shooting and high turnover rate).

I like Harris but as others have said he is a RFA and unless somone way over pays him Orlando will match.

I think the likely and logical path for the Cs this offseason will be to add 2-3 rookies to the roster. (either draft and stash or trade additional 2nds). Retain the current players under contract (including resigning Crowder). Fill out the roster with high character younger vet role players and role with it. There is no reason to spend money this offseason better of developing the players we have and seeing where it takes the team. With proper development I think this young core can compete for the 8th seed in a weak east next season.

They're both good players, but you don't just draft a center and expect them to help you their rookie season normally.  Drafting for position is almost always a bad idea anyways, you take the BPA and take it from there

I think both these guys are going to be severly overpaid this summer. I'm not high on either of them but I do like Jackson a bit more than Harris.

But in a hypothertical world:

Jackson/Turner
Smart/Bradley
Harris/Young
Sully/KO
Zeller/Draft Pick

Can't say I like it but its not all that terrible for a young core. In the end I wouldn't dish out the money for Harris...Maybe Jackson.

I think Harris is the 3 in this scenario with young the 6th man if he continues to develop, im not going to pretend to know how the money is suppose to work out. We do have cap space though.
