I have nothing wrong with any of those off-the-court comments, especially since he's right that his team has a crappy attitude.

It's his body language towards officials that is unacceptable.

I don't either. I remember Jordan making similar comments about teammates.

This is a guy who is on the court busting his ass every night. Maybe he whines about the referees too much (so have many other greats, including KG), but he's worked on his craft to be the dominant player he is. Who have they put around him? Rudy Gay's Ghost? Darren Collison? Jason Thompson? It's a lousy, soft team and Cousins is probably pretty fed up with it.

Cousins isn't any more competitive than the average player.  He just whines more.  Half of the players in the league are on bad teams.  Gods plan.

I hope his frustration is peaking and he asks out. No team in the league has more assets to trade for him than we do. He would transform the celtics immediately into a solid playoff team if we were to get him for something like Sullinger, salary filler, and two 1sts.

I have seen him play live about ten seats back, I beg to differ.

That Boston game was his low point, for sure.

Half the players in the league aren't averaging 24/12/3 and who have substantially improved their game in every way over the last 4 years.

If the "it's all God's plan" talk is what it takes for DMC to make it through a crappy season, I guess I can't fault the kid.  He's one of literally billions who have probably used that phrase, or something similar, to get through a rough patch.

Yup. It's one of those phrases that is going to keep you critical of a seriously large number of people if you condemn it on its face.

Last guy that was that good to ask out? Kevin Love. And we all know how much this forum wanted him. I see a better player in DMC, so this hate makes no sense.

It was not the Boston Game, I live outside of Mass.   He is a great player with loads of talent, but I do not think he is fully committed to himself.   That is the scary thing about him.   He is great player without trying all out.   When you have that you have a talent.

Based on what, though?

I'll occasionally catch the Kings on TV, but I don't watch them very often: if Roy says he's playing his ass off and you say he's mailing it in, who am I to believe?

I put very little stock in estimations of effort as a rule (since I find them notoriously unreliable), but who would you rate as better than DMC right now?

I don't think effort has ever been a problem with DMC. Maturity, attitude, sure, but his competitiveness , desire to win, and effort I don't think can be questioned.
