He's averaging 12 points on 41% shooting, but it kinda proves that Jeff is capable of being a solid 5th best player on a playoff team.

Kinda interesting that 3 of their top 6 guys are former Celtics (Green, Tony Allen and Courtney Lee).  Lee is shooting 48%/46%/84% this season.

Should have kept Lee, and fired Bradley, i'm disgusted.

I noted it's only crickets sound and night breeze at grizzlybearblues.com . I hope they have another fan site. They have an exciting team.

Ehh, hindsight is 20/20.

Very, very few people shared your opinion while Courtney Lee was here. He always received more hate than he deserved.

Jeff Green was the last piece of the puzzle for the Grizzlies. They are phenomenal.

Golden State and Memphis are the two best teams in the West now.

The Spurs got some ground to make up. Oklahoma too. The Thunder have slipped behind the top three teams in the West. Mavs and Blazers on same tier as OKC but behind SAS, GSW and MEM. Then Houston and LA Clippers another tier down rounding out the top 8 in West.

True ,  I like Lee a lot ...but for a team based on a min. 4 year rebuild time ......Lee didn't make sense.....like Green really ......so AB is young enough to fit into the plans for the team in a few years...when AB will be at his prime.

okc might not make  the playoffs as they are behind phoenix who is the 8th seed and new orleans
golden state and memphis are easily the top 2 teams as they have had no significant new players besides green, no major injuries, all players know their roles on the team, players have experience playing together for a couple of years now

i like lee when he was in boston
but i guess he never really did well in docs system

when CBS coached him briefly he used him in limited minutes per game where he was very effective
lee was avging like 8pts in only 18 mins playing time

also avery has more potential being a younger player than lee and not fully developed

I believe the horrible Jason Terry signing kind of killed Lee´s time in Boston

Jeff is playing the role he's meant to play in Memphis. Not a go to guy, but a guy that can make some clutch plays if needed. Ainge traded him to a good team. The same goes for Lee, I think he's found his home.

It shows that basketball is about more than just talent.  Rudy Gay is, by just about every measure, a better basketball  player than Green but the Grizz needed a guy who didn't need to be "The Guy".

Why do so many guys seem to struggle in Doc's system?  Courtney Lee, just about every backup PG we brought in, Jared Dudley.  It seems like a lot of guys are good before and after they play for Doc, but struggle while they're with him.

There seem to be plenty of examples of the opposite, too.

What players are you thinking of?  Posey?  House?  Perk and Powe can be explained by injuries.  DeAndre Jordan has been great but a lot of that could be natural progression.

This is what I was saying to Grizz fans when the trade was going down -- it's not about how good Jeff Green is.  He's a perfectly fine wing with legitimate size for the SF position and the ability to score without holding onto the ball much.

He was a significant upgrade for the Grizz on the wing despite being just an OK player.  OK is a lot better than what they had, and now they're a much more well rounded team.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
