his weight is his biggest upside - undersized as he is he went to make up for it by becomming super massiv. I don't care if his team mates have to help him carry his body up and down the floor as long as his weight attracts the ball in a fashion that allows him to be a decent rebounder. Opposing players get hurled around by the lingshot effect his gravity causes.
If all our players would be so professional opposing teams would have to shoot from their end of the floor because there is no open spot on the front court, no lanes to drive, only offensive fouls to be picked up.
Ok enough jokes on him. As far as I can see his game profits more from his weight as it suffers from it. I wasnt able to see any loss of ability to play which I can connect to his weight so far. He wasnt better before so its praticly impossible to say that if he would lose weight he would become a better player in result. Its possible he would be better but he could be worse too. Would he become a leaper like Bass is? Highly unlikely. Would he be able to shoot a higher 3P% with less weight? No. Would e be able to rebound better, block out better, defend better, score easier inside? Possible but he could as well become easier to be bullied around, as he is no longer able to match superior size with a body that creates seperation, clear out space and moves opposing players without pushing and fouling. Opposing players will be able to shoot over him no matter what. He can not fix his size without the help of platoo shoes.
Surely his weight will become a factor one day when he is past his prime and he becomes slower but he shouldnt worry about that at this point of his carrier. Big Baby looks like a barrel. He doesnt have a neck at all. He never had the tallent Sully has and somehow still is allowed to fill have of the Clippers bench all by himself.
