At least start by making some shots, even the simplist of shots. I have never seen a team so "not" on the same page as these guys.
we all know the eventual starters are James Young and Marcus Smart so give these guys floor time they need and for god's sake get Sullinger under the basket where he belongs!!!!
STOP, with the experimenting.  we know who fits where, now take all your assets and get us two solid scorers or one scorer and a rim protector, but do something instead of making us look like a bunch of bozos out there getting our butts kicked every day!!!!

the #tank is real! It's ok, it's another throw away season. Turner will be gone after this season and so will Bass.

marcus is a gladiator ,young isn't strong enough to play d,marcus with his bulk and strength stays out of paint offensively, wiggins has more strength and tools than young. That miami kid has had to fight and claw for everything he has got, young needs coaching during scrimmages not stevens yelling up and down court.give him time but don't throw him to the wolves.

Young will be plenty strong enough to defend the 2 by next year--which is when the C's will actually want to start being good. But if he doesn't play now, he won't have the experience to reach his full potential. Sports skill and know-how is a little like learning languages: better to be ingrained with reps playing the right way early, rather than waiting to learn at an increasing age.

But I agree. No reason to crush him by starting him before he's ready. I just want him playing lots of minutes (20+) at this point.

I know Young is young, I know he needs a little more strength, please let him get a feel for the NBA game. Give him some extended minutes, and a chance to see his potential, let him make mistakes to the point it begins to effect his confidence, then school him. With the minutes he's getting he can't get a rhythm to his offense. He's playing scared, his leash is too short.

His defense is no worst than KO, Sully, and Bass. Forget about playoffs.

This team has been tough to watch lately.  With the exception of Bradley coming off of screens, Zeller going to work in the post, and the occasional fast-break, our offense is a mess.  I really think Coach Stevens needs to stop with the Evan Turner/PG experiment and start Marcus.  In fact, I think he needs to revamp his rotations altogether.  I'd do the following:

Starters -

C - Zeller
PF - Sully
SF - Young
SG - Bradley
PG - Smart

2nd unit - (Go small)

C- Bass
PF - Prince
SF - Turner/Crowder
SG - Thornton/Turner
PG - Pressey

Guys not in rotation

PF - Olynyk (hurt)
PF - Shav
SF - Wallace
SG - Dawkins
SF - Either Turner/Thornton/Crowder (depending on the game)

We won 3 out of 4!  Playoffs baby!

We lost 3 straight!  We're directionless and clearly tanking!

The more I watch this team I think it is clear that there is only a few 'keepers.' Smart and young are the obvious building blocks.

I don't care if young starts yet, but he needs to play 20 minutes a game. He has enough offensive skill to allow him playing time and the defense will start to come allow with experience. To me, he is a shooting guard all the way and certainly has enough athletic ability to defend the position.

Smart is going to be very good. He impacts the game in so many ways. He can easily be a solid offensive to higher end offensive pg with tremendous defense.

Olynyk is a bit of a mystery to me. He has so much offensive talent for a big. Man but struggles defensively. Paired with a world class defensive center, he should be able to play enough d to start and be a high end player. Or he could just be a guy that will be able to make a few things happen off the bench. Until we see more and with a defensive big, I think it is really hard to judge.

Sulky is another guy that I just don't see has enough athletic ability to be a high end starter which is what we need. If he was taller, it might be ok but he's not. I think he is traded in the next year.

I think, CBS needs to focus the offense on theses guys and see if they can develop. They are the future and should be the development focus.

why? this team will be bad regardless of sully being under the basket, smart taking threes, whatever. so why not use this time of being stinky to allow for experiments? when the team is better, then they can't afford to experiment since they will need to win games.

now? winning is second to player development. that means experiments. let sully try to learn to shoot better, his 3 point % has gone up in each of his three years and other big men developed better outside shots as they matured, so who knows?
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Experience is overrated.  Some of the better players in the league didn't play much as rookies.  You know like Kobe, Steve Nash, Al Jeff, and guys like JO of old (who barely played his first four years).  Then you have guys like Tyreke Evans that play a lot as rookies, learn bad habits and never develop into what they could have been (MCW is starting to head down that path).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

It is my hope that some of the vets are moved for assets, we then can play some of the young guys.    They have really been showcasing Bass, Thornton and Prince lately and we have some assets in the D League like Dawkins and Young who has been going back and forth that will be brought up if or when they are moved.  The deadline is Feb 19th at 3 pm EST.

I think we should wait to see who we have until then to make a lineup change.  We have different guys then and then again nothing may happen.

Ha. This pretty much sums it up.

My favorite lineup right now for us is Smart, Thorton, Prince, Wallace, Zeller. That lineup was really giving us something during that 3 out of 4 wins stretch... Unfortunately, Stevens stopped using that lineup and we started losing again. Tankopalooza 2015!
