With the Warriors playing 4 out 1 in I've been noticing what we do with our bigs in halfcourt defense. It seems like we use all the tactics devised to get around defensive 3 seconds - sticking with the man, overloading the strong side and ignoring him completely, guarding the edge of the paint, but we don't do what every other team does: 2.9 aka sit right in the middle of the paint for as long as you possibly can. It looks like there have been several easy layups they've had because our guy was on the free throw line or off to one side and couldn't stop a quick cut to the middle of the floor.
