i'm surprised thornton still in celtics uniform, this guy is a proven lite em up scorer ,and his defense is better from being forced to up it-teams are going to need his talent during playoffs. And bass coming off bench for contender both of these players could adapt quickly as they have been all season. Both these players have years left.

Salary match issues im guessing. Also danny might rather keep these guys vs getting 2nd round picks until the end of the season so that the team can remain somewhat competitive. Better for guys like KO, smart, young

I think we might start to hear something starting next week. Teams are starting to figure out were they are in the standings and what it would take to get them over the top.

Both guys could help a playoff team. I'm more surprised with Bass, he's been playing well and would be a great bench big.

I'm also a bit worried teams are waiting for DA just to buy them out. I hope if he can't trade them then he keeps them. One part to tell other teams if they want his players they have to go threw them. And at the end of the year, he could use them in sign and trades and get something out of them over the summer.

Bass is a player that could absolutely help a playoff team in need of a backup big. The teams that need him are so close to the salary cap. That's the main obstacle right now, as we don't want to take back salary for next year. I hope something will come about for Bass getting on a playoff team, as I have really enjoyed his time as a Celtic.

I think if Wright landed us a draft pick then Bass certainly could with similar protections.

I believe they are 9th or 10th men in the rotation for a playoff contender so hard to value that. Which is why likely to go down to deadline. They are good pros and expiring so DA doesn't mind holding on to both for vet help in player development and cap space.

This team is really going to miss both Bass and Thornton when their gone. Both players are going to help a contender.

I think they could be as high as the 8th in Bass's case.

I think Ainge can trade Bass any time. He needs to decide what he wants.

I expect he has two offers on the table (1) an expiring contract and one or two [depending on how high or low the picks are] 2nd rounders (2) a contract which has 1-2 years left on it but team is willing to pay late first round pick.

I don't think Thornton will be traded. He earns too much money (~$8.5mil). It is hard for team's to match salaries in a trade for him. I imagine there is only a small market of teams interested in him to begin with so throw in the salary problem and you have a very difficult situation.

A lot like Humphries last season with his big contract. That stopped teams from being able to trade for him too.
