I haven't done too much research on him but I think he is a player we should take a chance on. He has decent stats in limited minutes. He is going to be a restricted free agent and the Hornets have a decent amount of bigs on their roster right now. Such as: Al Jefferson (free agent 2015), Cody Zeller, and Noah Vonleh.

With Larry Sanders and his "issues", Bismack might be a better option

P.S. This is only if we don't get a center in the draft.

Here are his stats (i don't know how to embed, sorry):

thanks for the thread and a tp, since no one should have zero tps here.  ;D but my honest suggestion is that if you are going to start a thread advocating acquiring some player, then do some homework about that player or folks will have a hard time taking your posts seriously.

as an example, go to the "do we have the best bench..." thread and scroll down to see Roy's post with stats. THAT is a persuasive post.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Because I think Danny doesnt want to take a chance on anyone.

Whiteside was available for practically a vet. minimum and didn't give him a glimpse. I think Danny is just not in a take a chance mood now, nor ever.

I've never understood the fascination with him.  in the games I've seen him play, he hasn't shown much.  at best he's looked like a back up center.

he rebounds and plays defense. He's not a great offensive player but he doesn't need to be.  He's only 22 years old. He could develop into a Ben Wallace type.   He's been starting with al Jefferson out and the team has been playing better.  This is also partially because MKG is back though. The two of them make an impact defensively.

Is he even restricted ?  The hornets have so many young bigs on that team that I kind of expect someone else to pick him up.  I'd be happy to bring him to Boston.  I think he's still developing and can turn into a really nice rim protector.

Suprisingly, you should see the stats. The team is better with him. Hence, Big al coming of the bench for the first time since like 07 the other day. His +/- numbers are amazing (when compared to the rest of the team). He is getting better and is so young. He can block, run and defend. If he learns some post game and how to stay out of trouble, he will be a great center. I'm up for it. He has a good head and is not childish, works hard and trains hard.

It would be worth it just to hear Tommy pronounce his name.

TP for giving the guy a TP and then proceeding to criticize his thread. Awesome  :)

Didn't we already have him on the team under the name Joel Anthony?
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

He's one of three players who I want from Charlotte, the other two being Noah Vonleh and PJ Hairston.  Would MJ be dumb enough to give us those guys for, say, Bradley, KO, and Bass?  Ahaha I know - I'm just having some fun, lol. ;D

He's young!

That's all I really have. But on CB that's all you reallly need to state. Everyone bases evaluations on age around here.

Yeah, how dare Danny not sign a guy who last spring got cut from his Lebanese league team.  Miami is still trying to make the playoffs, and he only played 25 minutes total the last two games, barely a week after going for 23 and 16..  There's probably a reason for both of these things, and the reason might be why Whiteside was not signed.

Best chance of getting Biz is to simply submit a large enough offer sheet for the Hornets to NOT match!!!

I would offer a contract starting at $7-8 million and see how much they value him.
