They have the second best record in all of the NBA behind the Warriors.  They are just beating everybody who is put in front of them.

I've caught a couple of their games, and I am super impressed with how well they play together.  Coach Bootyhausen is doing a fantastic job with that group.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Danny Ferry did an incredible job building that team. Shame he is going so little credit for his work.

Looking at all the problems Cleveland has now and Mike Brown has had a coach since leaving Danny Ferry's Cavaliers the first time around, I can't help but wonder if Ferry did not get enough credit for the job he did there as well.

I still don't understand how they are so good. They should be a good Eastern team but I just don't get how they are on such a tear right now. Props to them.

I had killer seats for their game at the Garden and they love to shoot the three ball and they make it at a pretty high rate. I guess their fit is just working for them real well. I still don't consider them a contender but man are they killin' it.

It's still about team chemistry, character and effort, and not style, me, and mine.
The Hawks are proof of that. That's a team that's all on the same page. The pieces are designed to mesh well.

 Red would love that team.

A lot to be said for keeping a core together, they are good example, but I think what makes them solid is three things:

1) They make a hard effort on D.  They swarm and trust each other well and play great team D.

2) They have a nice balance on inside  and outside on their offense.     With their personnel all they have to do is play to spread the floor and it happens with their respective talents.

3) They have solid personnel across the board.   You can't really slack off any of them.   All of them can hurt you so other teams have to play honest.  Collectively, their talent is much more than some individual talent that some teams present.

The playoffs is a whole new ballgame though, time will tell if they can do it when other teams turn it up a notch.

Oh, and they get Brooklyn's pick, most certainly late lottery to mid first round...

I think this team is a prime example of being the beneficiary of being in the east. they're not beating the spurs in a 7 game series.

sure they could be another pistons team of a few yrs ago, where they had no real stars but were a bunch of players that complimented each other very well. but till I see it i'll believe they're just another east team taking advantage of the poor.

I somewhat agree with that, but it's not like they haven't beat Clips, Mavs, Rockets while on the road.So it's not like they're just getting by on an easy schedule. I think a good test will be when they play Golden State in Feb. That's going to be a must watch game.

I tend to not put much stock in reg. season wins. hell we beat the bulls the season they won 72 games.

I don't either,  but you can't completely ignore it. A lot of times it's really going to depend on the match up.

I'm with you. I'll believe in the Hawks when/if they win the East. And even then I don't see them beating the West representative.

Classic "whole is greater than the sum of the parts" team.  You are looking for an MVP on their roster; not gonna find one.  But you are going to find guys who play well together and complement each other nicely, with a few guys who are the best in the league at what they do (Teague, Korver)

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

+1 Teague is so underrated.
