if they were to end up with a lotto pick this year, do they keep it?

What do you mean "if"?  ;)

They could go for the trifecta of lottery wins
Yup

How funny would it be if Love leaves , Lebron leaves cause love signed elsewhere , and Wiggins becomes an MVP candidate in a few years ? Only Cleveland could muff up that bad ....

Cavs made their bed letting LeBron come back and determine the trades to be made.

Having Wiggins on the wing, the potential of Bennett and the draft pick they gave away for Love would be useful now and highly valuable in the years to come. I don't understand that trade. Never liked it, outside of maybe this season and next.

LeBron is not going to want to be the dominant wing on both ends moving ahead. Wiggins was the perfect compliment. Alas, Cleveland really played themselves . .  .. and so quickly! !  ! It's awful. Even though I don't like LeBron, I wanted to see Cleveland do well.

How many people would even trade Love for Wiggins straight up right now? Lebron player GM!

If I'm a contender I would, wouldn't give it a second thought.  Until winning in its last game, Minnesota had lost 15 straight games.  Minnesota has 6 wins on the season and is a terrible team.  The great play of Wiggins of late has done nothing to the win and loss column.

Let's not forget Love is 26 years old.  He isn't even in his prime yet.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I find it amusing because so many in the media declared that this team would be a legit contender. Two of their "big three" have never won a playoff game. Their bench is a joke compared to that of recent champs and they have a coach with no nba experience as a player or assistant.

Not only that, their roster does not fit well together. Who in their rotation other than LBJ is an above average defender? Does anyone really believe they will be able to get stops in the final minutes of crucial games?

You know the spin machine is in full effect when people think JR Smith and Shumpert will help.

With LBJ influencing all trades and signings, this could get even worse for them.

Let's not forget that they lost Sideshow Bob, who's a good defender, rebounder, and all-around pain in the arse for opponents. I think his absence has really hurt them.

Lebron player GM!

Hey, don't knock the "chosen one"!  You'll be dubbed a "hater".

But the "king" needs to be the de facto GM. Heck, if he can't be a better player than MJ, maybe he can be a better GM! ;D

Lebron is going nowhere. If he does he will be pariah in many cities, forget Cleveland.  He made it a sideshow when he came back.  Per Woj's article today, he has gotten everything he has asked for.  Blatt was hired before Lebron signed.  He might be a good coach, but that's not how you need to enter the NBA.

Also, I think Kevin Love is getting completely exposed.  If he leaves it might actually be good for Cleveland.

They are soooo....going to wish they kept Wiggins and rebuilt around him and Irving.

LeBron ......has been going down hill fast since mid last year.....Spurs ran over him like a steamroller ......

James while still a top ten player , has lost his cape.

Oh ..yeah .....I love watching Cavs losses too .  Nothin beats a dejected James agony of defeat...LOL

Yeah, it would be a bold move, but I wonder who they could get before the deadline for Love that might be a better fit. Lebron would probably be pretty psyched with Bosh, but since Love's contract is up after this year, it could be a major hurdle.

Since the new TV deal doesn't kick in until 2016-2017, I could be okay signing him at the end of this season as a FA.  I wouldn't want to give up any assets for him, but he would only be a "max" player for one season proportionally as the cap is going to go up so highly.  Then we'd need a legit center for real.  In this scenario, I'd want to move Sully for something good, too.

cavs made their bed LONG AGO when they canned dear old friend Paul Silas who was trying to teach young lebron the proper way to play the pro game
he runs the team, has leverage with refs and seems to have great sense of p.r.   ::)

i never thought Cleveland would be this bad at the halfway point in the season. Two things that really pop out for me:

1. Wiggins has been looking really legit as of late and it makes me wish we had won that lottery lol. If Love leaves, that trade would likely go down as one of the worst in NBA history.

2. Love (and to an extent, Irving) are getting exposed as players whose reps exceed their actual output. I can't help but notice significant the talent disparity between them and Bosh and Wade.

They will be fine. Love was playing fine when Lebron was injured. They probably just need time to gel. I Love what's going on right now but I think it will work out.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)
