It's a double-edged sword. If he stayed on at 5 mil a year, then most everything that went wrong with the team would be attributable to the flaws in his game. The fan club would gradually cease.

He'd probably be the best contract in the NBA at 5 million a year. He just does so many of the little things to help teams win. I think he'll go for a little more than that with the new tv deal coming up.
