Against certain teams  and match ups Zelller could excell .Should he start taking some 15ft shots, can he put the ball on floor. All the players should know where zeller needs the ball to be most effective.Rondo's bounce passes had just the right height, turner's seem lower.Zeller sets a great screen and pivots to the hoop as well as anybody, can he teach this to KO.It seems his screens ineffectual and defensive man gets over top much to easily.Zeller and turner are surprise of season, after turners 29pt game he has actually played more contained.Considering amount of time players have actually practiced together both turner and zeller have exceeded expectations.

The adjustment to rondo's precision passing, timing and ability to navigate the lane can't be measured add to that  his rebounding,i don't know how many passes i have seen wide or off mark it adds up.Pace and precision and that intuitive knowledge of where someone is going to be and or re act, needs time and practice, not just hustle and determination-this collection of players must be looked at like pre season under game conditions.this is a year of development and accumulation and dealing, the playoffs are just a mythical goal-celtics  are in a smart guys tank mode-this is a boston tank vs philly's blatant tank.

Why the flagnogg is Zeller turning down open shots at the top of the key???

So Green can throw up off balance threes at the shot clock buzzer???

Keep him in the low post and put KO in the high post or out to 3 point land.

If we ever got a decent center, i wouldn't mind seeing if Zeller could play power forward. He seems to have a nice 15-18 foot shot, but hesitates to use it. He would improve the defense.

His brother hit a couple, the way he runs the court like an athlete not just a tall guy makes me curious about his abilities--and his finishes right and left with that nice soft touch.

You must like losing.

I think Zeller could be a keeper, I think Sully and Kelly would be best off the bench.  We need an athletic big who can play and defend and protect the rim.  Kelly and Sully cannot defend and both are of dubious athletic ability.  Our future big man will be had in the draft I wager,  I think Zeller could play the four.

Zeller knows his limitations and plays within his game.   KO doesn't know his strengths and often plays weak as a result.  Sullinger thinks he is a hero and all world and oft comes up short when it matters and hurts the team by playing outside his strengths.  I hope he is the one who goes, because he is lazy and does not run the court or show effort on D.  I can take lack of ability more so as fan than lack of effort.  Kelly,I can at least see trying.   Nothing irks me worse, than seeing Sully walk up the court like a bovine beast with a saunter than a tortoise could beat.

We should be giving him a steady 28-30 minutes a game and really see what he can do! What's there to lose?

Value, as his limitations become more and more obvious.  He is still not in great shape, labors to run the court, and his D is horrible.  I am talking about Jared, not Tyler.

I'd like to see Zeller in the high post and Sully in the low, when KO is in the opposite for Zeller.

I think Zeller should play at least 30 mins a game, start and finish the games.  I want him no further out than 10 feet.

I want him gaining weight and muscle for the next 2 years.  Special diet, special year-round trainer.

I like what I've seen so far.

an open question to cb.

is there a website that provides individual match up stats? that is, a site wherein we can see how zeller did versus other centers. something such as "zeller has had 14 match ups with player X. he has averaged x pts, rebs, etc. and player X has averaged X."

that would be interesting to read in the context of this thread.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
