We're loaded with first round draft picks, some of which might be lottery picks (BK and our own) and a slew of expiring contracts. It seems like we can/will be in the mix for any superstar that becomes available over the next 3 years. I could see how being very similar to Houston and grabbing a star via trade and possibly adding another in FA.

Anyone care to predict when and maybe who will land?

Yes, Houston did.  Many other teams have failed, though.  Rebuilding is a crap shoot, and I think that it's more likely that we miss out on a superstar than that we land one.

I suppose it depends on what the definition of "superstar" is, though.  We should be able to find an all-star at some point within the next five years, but finding a truly dominant player will be much harder.

It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. Book it here, this draft, we will land a star, I think our lotto changes this year or next.    Ainge will do everything he can to sign 1 or 2 of them as soon as possible.  The best scenario for us will be two guys want to play together and come to us to do so as we have boku cap space.   One can hope, right?

Since Rondo probably won't be back here it's a little like saying "When do you think you'll be hit by lightning" or "when will the University of Alabama dismiss a football player with less than two felony counts?"

These things are just so unknowable...
