Knew we'd hear from our guy  ;D

Quote
“But this isn’t his fault. It’s on our starters. They’ve got to get us off to better starts in games, and right now we’ve been very sluggish at the start — and it’s been happening all year. We dig ourselves a hole that’s hard to get out of, and we just can’t afford that. We spend so much of our energy battling and fighting to get back into the games that by the time the fourth quarter comes, we’re burnt out because we’ve used all our gas getting back into the game.

“So our starters have to do a better job controlling the momentum and the tempo of the game from the start.”

Quote
It’s like they’re walking into a situation where you feel like you can flip the switch on at any time, and you can’t do that in this league,” he said. “Teams come out hard on you. The first one that hits the hardest is usually the one that sets the tone for the game and gets the calls and everything.

“And we can’t have that be the other team, especially at home. We’ve got to be able to come out and be the most aggressive ones, you know, hit first and take it to those teams and have them play on their heels instead of us being on our heels.”

Quote
“Eventually you’d want to see that,” Wallace said. “At the end of the day, something has to click. We have to take pride. We have to do something about that. Right now, I think it starts with us setting the tone and setting the momentum of the game from the start. When we come out as the aggressors, we play very well. But when we don’t, we always find ourselves back on our heels, and it’s hard to get going.”

What blame do the end of bench players collecting a $10 million pay check deserve?  ;D

i never blame him or others for saying "yes" when some owner offers to over pay them. why would they say no?

Is it a coincidence that we hear complaining from two guys who play the same position as Jeff Green?

True, but at least have the good manners not to call out others for their lack of performance.

Wallace is right. Sully, Green, AB have been doing a poor job as starters

I love Gerald Wallace! lol Really, I wish we could take his mindset and give it to Jeff Green, or Zeller or....Or....OR!?!? You put Gerald Wallace's brain into KO! Man how good would KO be if he wasn't a debbie downer when he does something wrong.

And I dont mind gerald talking......and being on the celtics. He has the pride, and loyalty that everyone else needs. So he makes 10 million for riding the bench.....without him we would not have gotten those Brooklyn picks......PERIOD!

Bottom line the starters need to lay better and coach needs to pull them when they don't.

Wallace is right. Sully, Green, AB have been doing a poor job as starters

Kind of hard to group Sully in with those two as of late.

Sully vs. Chicago: 16 pts, 16 rbds.

Sully vs. CHA: 22 pts, 8 rbds, 4 blks, 2 stls.

Bradley and Green have really slipped recently. I think they're the primary issue right now.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

That and inconsistent shooting, inconsistent point guard play, and players playing out of their comfort zone.

It is one thing when a star of Bird's caliber calls out his team mates,  but Wallace?

However, I think all the guys on this team respect Wallace.  Nice of him to bail out Brad who has been taking a beating by those who think this team has enough talent, I doubt it will convince the delusional though.

1990-1991 Minnesota Timberwolves roster.

   Breuer, Randy
   Brooks, Scott
   Campbell, Tony
   Coffey, Richard
   Corbin, Tyrone
   Glass, Gerald
   Godfread, Dan
   Mitchell, Sam
   Murphy, Tod
   Richardson, Pooh
   Spencer, Felton
   Thomas, Jim
   Thornton, Bob
   West, Doug

That team won 29 games and that talent makes this Celtic team look like the 2003-2004 Detroit Pistons.

I guess a $10 million dollar player who can't contribute enough in order to get himself off the pine just doesn't deserve any blame.

He just can't be out the door soon enough.

The whole thing is pathetic.
The management is pathetic.
The front office is pathetic.
The coach is pathetic.
The players are pathetic.
It's so bad that the uniforms are starting to look pathetic.
