I'm sure they'd prefer not to wait til the trade deadline for Wright.  The sooner they can integrate a new player, the better.

They can trade for Wright at any point, so long as he isn't traded in combination with other players (that's the simple version).
Oh, I wasn't aware of that.  Thanks.  In that case, I think Wright makes a lot of sense for them.

I am not sure that Wright has played well enough to get traded but even if we did, I think the Memphis pick is more interesting than the OKC.  At least that one would push out a few years and have a chance to be a mid range pick.

Sam Amico is reporting on twitter that the Cavs plan to flip with OKC pick for a big man. They now have the pick and they still hold the TE from the bogans trade.

The 3 guys I can see fitting this trade are (in order of who i think Cavs prefer)

1. Mozgov

2. Koufos

3. Wright

1. Seems like a possibility but with a year remaining on a reasonable deal I would think the Nuggets could get a better return for Mozgov.

2. I find it hard to believe Memphis is going to just move Koufas for a pick unless its part of a bigger trade (maybe Green going to Mempis, Koufas to Cavs, and Prince and OKC pick to boston).

3. A straight trade of Wright for OKC pick makes sense for both teams.

Totally agree on all three points

Ok, I would definitely do a brandan wright for a 1st (likely this year) then. I'm not sure you can hope for much better than that.

It would also make the Rondo trade into essentially two firsts, which I think is more appropriate value than in wright for this particular team.

yup, onboard with those sentiments.  I have a feeling that may have been what Danny was planning all along when getting Wright.  some playoff team will need a backup big and be willing to cough up a non-lottery first rounder.  Charlotte maybe if Big Al is out for a long time.  Cleveland very possible.  OKC is a possibility.  Houston, Atlanta, etc...

I would try and include somes assets in the deal that nets BOS both the OKC 2015 1st and Memphis's 2015 1st (they can protect it 4-14 which is opposite from the protection Memphis has on the pick)

My guess they pickup Dalembert 1st. Wait it out until the trade deadline

I dont think they have much reason to weight unless they think waiting changes Denver mind.

they should seriously be looking at kg
even though he probably can't play enough minutes for him during the season his defensive presence would help them immensely
also spacing the floor as kg is not a low post player at this point in his career
