I went on read some articles on bleacher report and on espn. neither of these to guys are on the trading block but have been said are possibilities from espn anaylists.
The two stars basketball analyst are hinting are available are
derrick favors
a 23 year old defensive star. he is a pf. he is a rim protector and he is signed long term.
2014-15 Season

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=oaceke8 we send utah our brooklyn pick 2016
two espn analysts suggested the celtics go after favors
Chris Forsberg and Nick Borges
Chris Forsberg said this
Resetting expectations for Celtics
"If the Celtics want to utilize potential cap space this summer, they won't want holds muddying up their books and that, in part, might encourage them to utilize the $12.9 million exception from the Rondo deal to fetch talent soon. I love the Favors suggestion if for this reason only: Boston's exception is just enough to absorb his $12.95 million contract (utilizing the $100,000 buffer on trades) and wouldn't that be just like the Celtics to set themselves up for a move like that? ... The greater point here is that Boston still has the potential to maneuver this season and maybe offer a glimpse of where they are headed. Take a deep breath, this might only be the start of the maneuvering with an eye toward the future."
the other player available is eric Bledsoe
trade idea
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=osv54zo we would send them the clippers pick as well
this is hinted by an article on bleacher report
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2300743-nba-insider-players-teams-poised-to-move-as-nbas-trade-season-kicks-offSo what do you guys think? I think the celtics need one star to give the celtics a shot at big free agents
so which one would you rather have, bledsoe or favors? Maybe both?
If we we waited until like the final day of the trade deadline and took out the bench like bass, wright, nelson and thornton. I could see the celtics missing the playoff's with both players. If we miss the playoff's then we have a shot at the lottery. say we get like the 9th or tenth pick we could trade up in the draft with 1st rounders like clevland, dallas, brooklyn 2018,boston 2016,whatever we get from trading away veterans, brooklyn 2017 option to switch pick. I think we could trade up. would a team with a starting line up of
bledsoe
smart

big free agent signing
favors
lottery pick
with a bench of bradley, olynyk, young, turner be enticing to join.
we would have the money to offer a good free agent max money. It might be enough to attract a big name.
