 I went on read some articles on bleacher report and on espn. neither of these to guys are on the trading block but have been said are possibilities from espn anaylists.
The two stars basketball analyst are hinting are available are

derrick favors
a 23 year old defensive star. he is a pf. he is a rim protector and he is signed long term.

So what do you guys think? I think the celtics need one star to give the celtics a shot at big free agents
so which one would you rather have, bledsoe or favors? Maybe both?

If we we waited until like the final day of the trade deadline and  took out the bench like bass,wright,nelson and thornton. I could see the celtics missing the playoff's with both players. If we miss the playoff's then we have a shot at the lottery. say we get like the 9th or tenth pick we could trade up in the draft with 1st rounders like clevland,dallas,brooklyn 2018,boston 2016,whatever we get from trading away veterans,brooklyn 2017 option to switch pick.  I think we could trade up. would a team with a starting line up of

lottery pick
with a bench of bradley,olynyk,young,turner be enticing to join.
we would have the money to offer a good free agent max money. It might be enough to attract a big name.

From whom's benefit would they trade Favors?  To accomodate Kanter?  Hell no, he's the weak link in their big rotation and he's a RFA at the end of this season.  Gobert?  He's an intriguing prospect, but he's far from being able to take over the full time center position right now.

Favors is their best big man by a mile and it's not even close.

Exactly they aren't trading Favors unless they are overwhelmed and that package is not.  As for Bledsoe being available because Bleacher Report says so?  I don't agree with that.  Plus that package would get you laughed at.

Sully and Gobert are a good pairing for Utah


KO and Favors are a good pairsing for the Cs

Gobert and Favors are still signed for 3 and 4 more years at reasonable money, with Gobert on his rookie deal and Favors at 12 mil/per year. Utah has absolutely no reason to trade either, especially for a guy (Sullinger) whose contract is up next year. Utah is tired of rebuilding and they want to keep their young guys and see what happens. Resetting the rebuild by trading players under long-term contract for picks would accomplish nothing for them.
