When Wilson threw that pick down 12 with 5 minutes left, I said " Oh good, that seals it".

Me too.  I texted a friend "Game. Set. Match."  One of the worst chokes or best comebacks ever -- depending on how you look at it.   GB had a third down conversion in the receiver's hands, and also the on-side kick in hand -- so I go with it being a choke for the ages.

As much as I hate Seattle, I don't want to take anything away from them—they took advantage of their opportunities.

But that was the WORST choke job I've seen in a loooooooong time. And I think the Pats' chances of winning the Super Bowl just took a nosedive.

Maybe.  In the first half, with the run game, defense and Rodgers looking healthy, GB looked pretty formidable.   Richard Sherman's injury will be interesting to see - and will likely have an impact on the game. Without Browner and Sherman, this is not last year's Seahawks.  Not hoping he's hurt, but it will be a big story line over the next 2 weeks.

He's got 2 weeks to recover though, I think he will be fine.

Looked like a dislocated shoulder to me, his arm got caught awkwardly on that tackle. But we'll see -- he was trying not to move that arm at all after the injury.

Also, CBS is pretty openly pining for a Luck - Wilson matchup. Gross.

Horrible loss.  That had a Spurs choking away that game 6 against Miami feel about it.  That, and I dislike the Seahawks in a Heat sort of way, too (to the extent I care about the NFL outside of the Pats at all.)

That's how I saw it too, but who knows. CBS should be rooting for one last Tom Brady Super Bowl, the guy doesn't have many more left in him. There will be plenty of chances for these younger QBs

Gotta win the AFC game first anyhow. Can't be worried about Seattle right now.

True. And I'm not presuming the Patriots win.

But, if the Patriots DO win today, there's no way they're beating Seattle. The reason I know this is because the team that I want to win, in any title game, hardly ever does. And the Patriots have been bad in their last two SBs.

The Colts are going to get blown out if they turn the ball over.

Still don't know why the Green Bay defender just laid down after the last pick. It looked like there was a bunch of open field in front of him , and there was still 5 mins left in the game . Really dumb play .

I thought this play was foolish. You're right—he had TONS of open field around him; he could've gone at least 10 yards, putting them past midfield, and still gone to the ground to avoid turning the ball over (I presume that's why he went to the ground).

To be fair, he was born and raised in Indiana.

Yeah, I did that.

Pathetic that the Packers never tried attacking Sherman when he was playing with one arm. DIDN'T EVEN TRY.

lol @ nantz and simms, they've already criticized the officials more in the first couple minutes of this game than they did all last week when denver got almost every call in their favor, and the refs kept them in the game.

That's not only gross, but a false premise, as is any so-called "QB matchup" involving Wilson, because he's not that good. CBS kept throwing out these impressive-sounding stats about Wilson, ignoring the fact that it's Seattle's defense that has given Wilson the guise of being a great QB. If Seattle has an average defense the last three seasons, they probably don't even make the playoffs. It's like when the Steelers were really successful several years back—it was really the defense getting the job done, but Roethlisberger was being hailed as a great quarterback despite throwing for, like, 189 yards and a touchdown.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure Sherman will be fine. Because that's how things go with the teams I hate.

Looked like it has to be something more than a bruised hand/wrist...   He was trying pretty hard to protect it.

I was wondering the same thing -- why not go after him.  Make him make a play on the ball -- make him have to make a tackle!   Amazing lapse in judgement by Rodgers and coaching staff. Unless Sherman was playin' possum.
