If we win a title in the next five years, chances are there'd be at least one or two current players left, just through happenstance. Could be random, maybe just Crowder as, like, the 11th guy. As integral parts, though? Even if Smart or Olynyk or Young were to survive and play a significant role, I doubt they'd be starters. Smart as an All-Defensive combo guard reserve, or Olynyk as an offense-only Sixth Man, or Young as a three point specialist sparkplug off the bench. Something like that I can see. I don't think anyone on the roster now would be starting for a Celtics contender, let alone Celtics champion. They will almost all be bundled as assets with picks for better picks and better players. That might take five years, or longer than five years...or it could all happen in one single landslide of activity this summer. Depends completely on what opportunities are available when. Ainge has done a solid job building up ammunition, now he just needs some more targets to appear.
