potential trade for brandon knight

Boston obviously wants to get younger and wants players who can contribute on both sides of the floor. Brandon Knight can create his own shot, pass, defend, and he's still very young. We'd have to figure out how we'd make the salaries match, but does anyone think the bucks would be interested in trading knight for green, either sullinger or Olynk. Knight projects to be a free agent at seasons end anyway and Danny could make a run at him then. And on a side note, can anyone think of teams who might be interested in trading expiring contracts and a 2nd round pick for bass, Wallace, nelson, and/or thortin. I think the best thing we could do for our team would be to let the young guys play and grow together. Our pick and players probably both improve with this strategy.

So Green, Sully/KO, and a first for Brandon Knight?  Why would the Celtics do that, that is a horrific offer?  Id rather have Smart/Turner split the point with an occasional Jameer Nelson then to have Knight.

I don't think Knight is the type of player you build around. Too weak at running an offense and creating for others. More of a defender/scorer type.

A great off the ball PG next to a playmaking wing (like Harden or LeBron).

I think the Bucks would laugh at that offer anyways.  They already have a nice SF prospect in Wiggins, and I wager they would take the combo of Sanders and Henson over KO and Sully.

Giving assets for a player we can get as a free agent is not wise. Evan Turner is 3-0 as a Pg starter. Let see how that works. Marcus and KO look great off the bench.

I'd like Knight as a FA (not in a trade, and not giving up that much), if we could get him for $6-7M/yr or less. Turner-Smart appears to have potential as a strong starting back court. In that case, pairing Bradley with another scoring, playmaking guard could make for an interesting and effective second unit.
