Trade potential? Cousins Not Happy With The Kings

Joking (Joking?) aside, I would give anyone or anything to get Demarcus Cousins. Literally everyone on our team is an "asset," and thus expendable, at this point when compared to Cousins. I would even consider giving up all of the Nets' picks seeing that we are hoping to maybe be in a position to draft someone that ends up like Cousins.

The #1 pick in 2015 (assume Celtics get lucky in the lottery), Smart, Young, Olynyk, and both Nets picks?

Yes. Cousins is a bona fide superstar who is young (24), plays center, and is locked up long-term. He does it all (his stat line is insane). You build around Demarcus Cousins. You don't build around Olynyk, Smart, or anyone else on our current team. And like I said, we are hoping that 1) The Nets picks are high and 2) That we have a chance to draft someone that comes close to what Cousins is doing now. I could live with Cousins-Davis battles in the Finals every year. 

The only circumstance I would consider not giving up the kitchen sink is if Towns/Okafor/anyone else completely dominates college basketball (a la Anthony Davis) and shows the ability to be a superstar big man. Then, I would draft them and continue building up with what we have.

seems like the 2 options are:
1) gut the team of young players and top picks for Cousins
or
2) take a shot that with their top pick this year, C's pick up a good young center or a top SF to replace Green and keep the youth movement going with their picks.

I think Cousins would be a great pick up but I'd be reluctant to empty the cupboard for him.  what's the use of having him and not being able to put any talent around him?   

I think most I'd go is:
2015 C's pick
worse of 2016 C's/Nets picks  (if they insist on better of the 2, pull the offer on the 2017 pick)
Sully  or Zeller  (plan to move KO to PF)
AB (would agree to Young or Smart if necessary)
Right to swap with Nets in 2017.  (would consider the Nets 2018 pick but with protection)
Bass/Green/Thornton/Turner/Wright/Nelson (any 2 of their choice unless it's Green then it's just him)

considering he hasn't produced at Love's level for as long as Love did, I think that's pretty fair - 3 firsts, a good young PF, a good young SG and 1 to 2 solid vets.  I still don't think they'd trade him under any circumstance

Brooklyn seems like a good trade partner for Sacramento.  They have Williams, Johnson, and Lopez all on the block and they have the salary and assets to acquire one of those players (I think Lopez would be the most interesting if Sacto thought Lopez could guard PF's in the 15-20 minutes they would need Lopez and Cousins to play together).  I think Williams makes a lot of sense for them as well as he can play both PG and SG and combining him with Collison and McLemore is a nice little trio.

I dont think we have enough to offer if someone like cousins were to become available (unless Marcus Smart turns a corner REALLY quickly), which is why I really hate the position were in right now. 

I know we have a treasure chest of draft picks, but we have no young established potential up and coming star on our roster yet.  Our Al Jefferson, if you will.  I really think think a team like Sac, if they were to want to deal Cousins, would look at our offer, and then some other team would jump in with a nice young established player to sell to their fan base and then a bunch of future #1s  to go along with him, and then we'd be finished.

Before we're gonna make any kind of huge deal of note, we need a player that another team can sell to their fan base.  Minnesota turned their nose up at our draft picks, then were foaming at the mouth to get klay thompson from GS.

Cousins is a great player, but a hot head, and seems to complain too much.  I'd be willing to trade players for him, but would not include all of our unprotected 1st round picks.

Color me crazy, but I'd rather take my chances at ping pong balls that hate anything green, then to trade the store away for Cousins...especially after the throwdown of Smart in today's game.

Not going to completely agree on Rondo, since he did fine with KG and Perk getting the bulk of the big man minutes.

But if you do buy in to your premise, Isaiah Thomas would fit quite nicely.  Don't know how well he and Cousins got along in SAC, however.
