One player I don't want traded is Brandon Bass.  Yes, there are more talented players on this team that I would hate to see leave, e.g.,Zeller, Olynyk, Smart, etc.  (as a qualifier I haven't been watching the team over the past few weeks.  This week being the exception.)

Why wouldn't I trade Bass?  Because, in my opinion, he's been the most stabilizing influence on the team this year.  We have great nights from just about everyone, but from I've seen, he's been the most consistent. (I said consistent...not the best.)  Lately, Zeller and Olynck may have over-taken him in this regards.

While others  chuck up 3 pointers and pray the ball goes in, he's been hitting uncontested layups and dunks off of rebounds and passes with regularity.  This seems to happen game after game. Plus, he generally takes outside shots within his range.  I realize he didn't have a great shooting night last night, but he was in the mix for numerous rebounds and put backs.  He was relentless against these taller players.

Another reason the Celtics should considering keeping him is because he is often the one most responsible for breaking scoring droughts.  Maybe some of you have noticed this as well. We do not need another 35% 3 point specialist or a mid to late first rounder who may or may not help this team.

If this were last year I wouldn't be posting this.  However, he's been better this season...hopefully Danny realizes this too.

Don't worry, he's not getting traded. He'll walk in the end of this season.

I think there's about a 1% chance Bass is still here next year.

He doesn't get a lot of love on here, but the dude works. Just works and does his thing.  I like him as well, but I believe there are better options out there.

I think Ainge realizes everything you're saying, and that's why Bass is still here.  Ainge is getting lowballed on the offers and he knows Brandon's worth more to him on the floor than what teams are offering.

Unfortunately many of the reasons you mentioned are actually why I want Bass to be traded. We're not going anywhere this year. Many, many, many things will have to happen next year for us to be anywhere near worthy of a playoff spot. Bass is great and I don't think he's overpaid but rather under-used right now. I'd love to see him link up with SA, LAC, maybe WAS for added depth?
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

Two of the Celtics best young players (Sully, Olynyk) play the same position as Bass.

Bass needs to go.

Trade Green and Bass at the deadline.

Start Turner, Smart, Young, Sullinger, and Zeller.

Olynyk can be the sixth man.

Hahahaha liked both these answers.

Not sure what the C's will do with Wright, but don't need Bass if we have him. Also Bass really? He drives me crazy, has the worse hands since Mark Blount!!

Bass is a solid player but he's not the future.  If we can get any assets for him, I'd trade Bass in a heartbeat.  The trade of Rondo means that the Rebuild is now in full-on mode.

Bass is a solid vet.  He has improved on his jump shot, passing and always plays hard on both ends. Driving in and dunking alot more. Loved that dunk in the 4th vs Magic ending with him yelling

If Danny trades Sullinger,  I would resign bass to a 3 year 15 million dollar deal.
