I don't see a down side.  If Smith isn't effective, they can just not play him.  They have to cut or trade the 15th player on the team (turned out to be Tarik Black).  That is the only thing they give up.  I don't expect Smith to be a game changer for them but he should add some nice depth and versatility.  No reason he should be losing games for them.

bump.

a sss to be sure, but josh smith's shooting percentages so far with Houston:

FG - 34.5%
FT - 45.5%
3PT - 12.5%

not the yummiest i have ever seen. it is only 5 games but it looks like houston has already moved him in and then out of the starting lineup.

this just reinforces my joy over him not becoming a celtic.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

They burned up the biannual exception for him, so now they can't outbid anyone if someone good becomes available.

It should make pro-tankers unhappy.
