He didn't do bad at all ,just one pass from Turner off his hands  and his presence disrupted several plays .He rebounded, had a blocked shot and a maybe.A couple  of dunks and ran the court.These new guys will have some adjusting to do.IS WRIGHT A KEEPER?

I still don't see Zeller or Wright being a part of the Celtics future in the long run, I believe both of them are being show cased as potential trade pieces

BUT

I like a rotation of Zeller/Wright/KO in the PF/Center rotation. Like some users in other threads has mentioned, i don't know why but it seemed Sully has regressed.

wright is a very athletic big man. you could see how he was quicker and jumps better than any other big man the celtics have. plus he played good defense, both interior and perimeter. i spoke highly of his abilities from the start of the trade, though worried about his work ethic. but so far he has worked hard.

the rub? his contract is up after this year. the key is whether the celtics will pay for his new salary or not. since this is a build process, i am not sure they will take his new salary on. i like wright and hope he stays, but i suspect he is out the door at the trade deadline.

I'm not keen on the idea of the Celtics spending 8mil on an undersized center who is just "blossoming" at 27 and doesn't have an offensive game to speak of besides dunks.

wright is better than perk as a center. the celtics balked at paying perk for good reasons. that may also be the case for wright...just too much salary wrapped up in a limited player.

I don t follow Mavs ...so I knew nothing about him.

I haven't seen enough to make a call on keeping or dumping him yet. 

One thing for sure ...he is NOT the starting big man Celtics need to go,contending again.

It took,Zeller a while to catch on and make his mark with the team.

Have to see if he does the same ...

But I'd bet Wright is trade bait.

Yeah, this is how I feel about Wright as well.  I think he isn't the 1st player you worry about finding in your rebuild.  Overplaying limits you on finding a real alpha dog / star / whatever you want to call them.

Wright would have been great off the bench in the kg/pp/ra/rr era.  Just a few years too late.  My guess would be traded by the deadline as well.

I don't think he ends up being a keeper. I would much rather go with the cost controlled Tyler Zeller and a drafted center than pay Wright big bucks. I don't think he lasts on the team past the trade deadline anyway.

Zeller  i'd say is one of the players that is safest at moment.Stevens loves him,he probably will get even better,he's young and even if we draft a game changer he would be excellent backup.Wright is very very good at what he does and he knows what he can do,Dunk lobs, put backs,around the rim stuff and be disruptive and a threat on d----.A great trade piece in a package but would like to see him stay.

wright is a journeyman, undersized-center.  role player.

he's an asset to be used to acquire a better asset or better yet, a key player to build with. 

he won't be here next year (and probably not past the trading deadline either)

I've watched a fair amount of Mavs games last season, especially their first round exit against SA. Brandan's alright, energetic and would be great if the rotation going forward was something like

C: Zeller, Wright
PF: Sully, KO

These four guys are far from interchangeable but I think the pieces can move around a little bit. It's not the championship rotation we want by any means but it works for this team and I think it showcases all these guys for future transactions.

While we're dying to trade Wright it maybe a good idea to see if he can help this team. Nobody is saying he is the long term answer at the center position. He's not. I for one would like to see how he pairs up with Kelly at PF and him at center and Zeller at C and him at PF. Once he understands the system better. Right now he looks kind of lost out there, and understandably so.
He's just turned 27 its not like he's 34. He's a good shot blocker, you remember what they look like?

I agree lets at least show case him so a contender can see if they need him.
