Respectable ending, last attempt aside.

Now what is the deal with Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger??

I don't get Syevens. Smart starts last game, few minutes tonight. What is the point of this season if not yo do elop Smart?

He looks like he's still banged up to me.

Maybe the coach is actually trying to WIN the game.

And the point of that is?

You'd rather have a coach that intentionally loses games? Way to promote a losing culture I'm glad he's trying

The development of Smart, Sully, KO and Young should be put ahead of all other competing interests, including winning this season. (not that winning and the development of the kids is somehow conflicting---we're gonna lose regardless).

I agree.

Nine minutes for Sully... any guesses as to why?

Fat...lazy....

You win most unintelligent guess of the night.

Say what? He played fat and lazy in the first half. Why do you think he is on the bench?

People on this forum were screaming that he was fat and lazy when he was averaging 16/8/3. Just seems like a talking point to me with no real evidence to back it up.

He looks fat. Maybe he's not. But standing aroung the 3 point line on most possessions, is a bit lazy. Stevens must have noticed too. :)

Sully shoots almost double the percentage of his total FGAs at rim as he does behind the 3PT line. As BBallTim said earlier, anyone complaining about Sully's three-point obsession while simultaneously calling him lazy because of those shots lacks an understanding of NBA basketball. This isn't playground ball where guys just what they want. In all likelihood Sully hangs around the perimeter because his coaches were telling him to. Before he went into this freezing cold shooting streak, it was working.

So I'm unintelligent and lack an understanding of basketball. Nice. I will leave you to yourself.

Sorry, just get a little tired of posters who continually bash Sully for doing what CBS wants him to do and then salivate over Rondo who is known to mail games in if he's not motivated.

You are intelligent and understand the game of basketball clearly. Your individual observations here, though, make me frustrated.

Ranking the C's top 3 players

1.Green (one of the bottom two could overtake him)
2.Olynyk
3. Zeller

Never thought I'd say that at the start of the season

If you're going by actual performance, Zeller should be at the top.  Another game where Green was on the bench in the 4th.  25 minutes, 4 pts, 0 reb, 0 ast.  Mr. Invisible is back.

The key to losing games is not having a bad coach. It's having a bad roster.

This game yeah I meant the last few weeks. But yeah I'm sure Olynyk or Zeller will overtake Green either because he's traded or he just goes downhill

Anybody else smelling a "wow-what-a-great-comeback-by-the-Celtics-to-almost-win-but-they-were-doomed-by-such-a-huge-early-deficit" outcome?

Honestly I think we'll have a "get a bit closer but never really threaten" kind of finish.  They just can't seem to string enough plays together.
could see us cutting it to 13.  Playing a bit better... Rotations matter.

Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Green needs to get involved in the game early preferably on the fast break.  Rondo would make those long lead passes to Green to get him going.  Stevens needs to emphasize that to whomever he starts at PG.

Lol better than getting the thread shut down just because I'm miffed at Sully not being able to hit a shot.
