So is Olynyk only playing 15 mins a game now? What is up with this 12 player roatation?
thats the trouble with having several mediocre redundant players...  They are all interchangeable and all average or less than average.
That bugs me about Stevens. The "everybody must play" "be fair to everyone" stuff.

Pick the guys that are most important to the team and it's future and prioritize them.

This is the way Mr. Rogers would coach
LOL this is how I've felt for sometime about Stevens. He just doesn't want to upset anyone. He'll probably take Pressey, who is his favorite, out for pizza and a sundae for not playing him tonight.

Looks like the game plan doesn't necessarily include winning.

It seems more to be about showcasing guys while devolving others.  This could be painful to watch until the trade deadline when I hope they tidy up the roster.

You'd think so... But part of me thinks it's a way of not totally losing the locker room and trying to keep everyone somewhat satisfied.

His decisions seem more focused on not hurting feelings than developing players.

Edit: Same sentiments as KeepRondo, sorry for redundancy didn't see the comment.

Or someone coaching a little league team.

This is what I think so often when I see how Stevens distributes minutes = little league coach.

So I looked at Butler's minutes distribution when he was coaching.

Since 09-10 until he left, he has always went 9 deep on players playing 10+ minutes, and has played his starters heavy.

I don't know why Brad is distributing minutes to a lot of players here, but this convinced me that this is more about the FO telling him to play everyone. I mean, his history coaching in college when it comes to giving minutes is night and day compare to what he's doing in Boston.

He's showcasing...

Interesting. TP.

Bass must go. Probably Wright as well. Sully, Olynyk and Zeller need more minutes.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

He's showcasing the roster.

Im convinced of this. He doesnt do this kind of rotation pattern in Butler.

This game was destined to be like this with the substitutions. We just added 3 players to a group that already has very little separation between starters and bench players in terms of talent. The Celtics don't know what they have yet in order to set rotations that maximize their abilities.

Doesn't mean I agree with all the sub patterns going on but also hard for me to criticize, this is not an easy one to coach no matter who the opponent is. Would like to see more of a focus on Kelly though, considering how well he's been playing as of late.

Yeah .....I agree .....win or loose .....I just want to see the same team effort from a basketball team , not a revolving door

I know Zeller and Rondo had a special connection and that is why Zeller moved into the starting lineup, but it might be time to rethink that.

Olynyk needs the offense to run through him more.  He seems to either get a good shot, or get someone else a good shot every time.

Nice floater, Kelly.  He keeps showing new things that he can do.
He's making a strong case for getting more minutes. He's been playing like our best player lately.

Yup, now he needs to show this confidence game in game out.
I'm feeling confident about his confidence.

Considering Wallace doesn't play, I'm not sure that's true.

LOL.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I remember, Keith Bogans gave Stevens a hard time last season for not playing him--hence why he was sit home. Maybe that negative experience has had an impact.

Maybe they think Crash doesnt have trade value, therefore doesnt need showcasing?

We definitely have an athletic team now...save Nelson ..LoL

Just need to see basketball development out of this crowd

If winning this game is prime

Then Green, Kelly and Zeller need to be on the court with Turner ..alot
