There isn't a single player on this team I wouldn't trade for an upgrade.  I don't think there is a single player on the roster who is a top 30 player or has the potential to get there.  Maybe Marcus Smart, but I doubt it. And as long as rondo is still on this team, smart is sort of redundant.  Id gladly trade any combo of players if it got us a better talent.

The idea that we need to hang onto Jeff green is pretty funny, btw. We've longed for him to drive up his trade value so we could move him... And now that he's out together a nice string of games and improved his trade value, people think we need to keep him?  Heck no. Sell high, baby.

Rondo isn't a top 30 player? ::)

I would say yes to Rondo being a top 30 player (though barely).

If you go through a list of names you might feel differently.

Lowry
DeRozan
Wall
Beal
Horford
Millsap
Rose
Noah
Butler
James
Love
Irving
Bosh
Curry
Thompson
M Gasol
Conley
Harden
Howard
Aldridge
Lillard
Griffin
Paul
Leonard
Parker
Duncan
Dirk
Davis
Durant
Westbrook
Ibaka

That's over 30 names and those are only from the 16 current playoff teams, plus OKC.

Given the amount of assets and so forth DA had ......he is going to be high on the media s list of active GM's

I sorta think he may be interested in a center . I wonder if he is calling about Monroe , but he can wait till off season .

Hibbert and Perk would be cool.

And dumping about six other players if he can get good return from contenders .

Stop, lol ;D.  Rondo isn't better than Ibaka? :o ::)  Wow.  Millsap and Horford aren't top 30 players, either, imo.  Is this just your opinion, or did you get it from somewhere?  I mean, Jimmy Butler - really?  Yeah, he's having a breakout year, but he's not in the top 30.  I guess that we'll just have to agree to disagree on this, which is fine.  Where are Paul George and Demarcus Cousins, btw, not to mention Carmelo Anthony?  I'm not a Melo fan, but that's more than a little ridiculous, imo.

How about this?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nyaumpn

Monroe to BOS and Bass to Detroit plus a second rounder.

it's basically a seconder rounder for the rental of Monroe. Btw, Monroe's agent is Jeff Green, Sully and Turner's agent (and Hibbert if you were wondering). So signing him might be a bit easier for Danny.

With Denver's GM Tim Connelly reportedly perceived as being in over his head and Kenneth Faried seen as a guy who might be available despite his recent big contract, I wouldn't be shocked if Ainge was working the phones to either be a third team that facilitates a way around the poison pill provision or even tries to acquire Faried himself.

Read the bolded section. Also, if you think that Rondo today, not from 2012, is better than Millsap, Horford, Butler, and Ibaka I'm not sure what to say.

You'd really want Faried?  What position would he play?  He isn't nearly the player that he should be, imo, from the potential he showed early on in his career.

A rental of Monroe for only a second is something I can get behind.  If Monroe looks great as a Celtic, it will probably be credited to Rondo.  I'd imagine that if Monroe makes Ainge want to offer him a big contract, it will probably be done in conjunction with trying to bring back Rondo beside him.
