Agreed = AK-47 was awful last season and hasn't even managed to get on the court this season. I don't see him as a useful player to anybody anymore.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yeah too bad, he looked really good in Minnesota. He just fell apart after that year I guess.

i think its the back injury
but spurs could win another one adding another sf depth with wingspan
clippers could used him too
i also think he can back-up pierce for marion and lebron and ross etc's and put porter as 3rd SF, but martell is coming back with 3rd back injury

If I'm the Sixers, I think I might keep AK47, get him some burn, and see if I can establish some trade value and then trade him again at the deadline.  If you play him and it is apparent he has no trade value, then you can just cut him later.

AK47 = Gerald Wallace

Elite perimeter defenders don't do so well once they're into their 30s, unless they have a knock-down shot.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

If they play him and he ends up having value, it means they've probably won a couple of games. Seems to run counter to their, um, organizational culture.

once he's released by Philly I have no doubt some contender needing to add to their bench will pick him up for a vet min deal.  having him as an 11th/12th man on the bench would be a good pick up for a team that would only need him for spot minutes.

AK47 isn't going to move the needle for a team like the Sixers.  He isn't going to drop 25 a night or anything like that.  He can however show enough that a contender might be willing to trade a 2nd rounder for him, which is better than the Sixers just cutting him.

Two things:

1. AK probably won't end up on another roster any time soon:

2. The Nets also gave up Jorge Gutierrez in the deal, prompting the Sixers to waive Malcolm Lee. Nets generated two trade exceptions in this deal, according to Woj:
