Was really impressed tonight, he cut off John Wall and Beal a bunch of times. Was really surprised he had the foot speed to stay in front of those guys. If he cuts down on the TO's , he will be a really good bench player for the next few years .

I wish CBS put him on Wall at least one time at the end. You had to do it b.c Wall started blowing by Smaht every time down. Either Turner or AB. Not saying they stop him but you HAD to make that call.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

turner has loads of ability. his problem is that he is about as sharp as a sack full of wet mice. he simply makes bad decisions and has trouble following a complex offensive or defensive scheme. that is one reason he came to the celtics ... to play under stevens and learn to play better ball.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I noticed Turner is super quick and crafty with his feet .   He is a bit like Rondo in one respect ....he'll make an amazing play ....jaw dropping move , then throw the ball away or make a lazy play out of no where .

hwangjini just nailed it. He is like that guy from Batman who flips a coin to decide whether he ll be good or bad. (should I give a pass or maybe do sthg really stupid?)
Let me also add that having him last year in Philly (about 20 full games) and most of his games this year in Boston, the stats are not helping his case. For the time being, he was a good defender in one game. And not even during the whole game.
I really hope he keeps up like this. But this is only a hope...

Turner can defend.
He needs to play the two instead of the point.

He was defending the 2 last year...
Actually, I think he was defending the 2 much of this year too.
Anyway, I can see the case, after this game he does deserve some credit. No doubt about it. I just would not get overexcited on the basis of one game.

No, he isn't.

He is a good defender the same way Tyler Zeller is a good starting center. He make convincing stabs at mediocrity from time to time, and those attempts at coming close to breaking even on defense look so much better than the utter noneffort he displays 97% of the time that people can get fooled. The same way you can look at a broken clock at exactly the right time and come away thinking its a working time piece.

"97% of the time"?  Can't argue with that.  He's got stats to prove it.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Turner has always been a good defender. He has an undeserved bad rep for defense.

He's good on the ball I don't like him off it.

Sounds about right.  Saw glimpses just of that in overtime periods.

Plus he's inconsistent especially in shorts stints off the bench. He's had good games, and some terrible ones defensively. He definitely is more comfortable playing a big role and starting.

edit: the most frustrating thing about Turner's inconsistent-at-best D is that he's clearly got the physical tools to do a much better job on that end of the ball than he does.
