The same way they turned on Ray when Bradley got it going for a month...its about to happen with you. Start planning where you go next.

I'm really confused as to who is to Bradley as Rondo is to Ray. Smart? Didn't we already know he was waiting in the wings?

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Bradley got going, and that was that for Ray in terms of this board.

When he missed 2 shots in a row he got blasted...

When his man hit a 3 in his face.....it was , get ray out now...

same thing is happening with Rondo...

He will be out next year.....100%

It's not that this is the reason, but I can definitely see him saying F this situation.

Ray was way older, a diva, and didn't play defense any more

Ummm, even if Rondo is traded coming into this season we knew that was a possibility regardless of if we had someone to replace him.

He is an expiring pseudo-star who reportedly wants a max contract, at least wants a ton of money.

The situations aren't even remotely similar.

They are, because both are wanted out of here.

I know the board is not a whole Celtics fan base, but its a solid indicator.

This is how it begins. New blood coming in and older blood thinking to himself.......why am i here, this team is either going to suck for my prime years (or in Ray's cast few years of career) , Ray's situation was seeing that the Celtics were finished after 2012 , Rondo will probably soften just let go. The organization will then make the decision.

I'm wondering what injury you think is gonna hold Rondo out for enough games for Smart to actually play himself into a starting role over Rondo, one game means nothing (ex: I'm sure you're ignoring Rondo's triple double in yesterday's win)
I'm bitter.

Smart is definitely the future. Rondo can't play back to back games anymore. He looked dead tired tonight.

I would love to get a clutch 3 pt shooter or someone like Monroe for Rondo

Or Smart could work his value up to land us a Carmelo Anthony or Roy Hibbert ?

He is not getting traded, but he is a FA. So....dont really get the point of this thread. No one is giving anything up for a guy they can get in FA. Why dont some of yall understand this simple notion?

I like him a lot too , but we still couldn't run the offense through him to close out the game . He isn't at that level yet, not to say he can't get here. For now he will be an awesome presence off the bench . Rondo is still a top level PG , and better at running the offense .

Monroe is not going to be traded. He has to hit FA to get his payday.

Or maybe we can recognize that lots of guys have one great game.  Gotta string a whole lot more of that together before it actually means anything.

Smart has been really streaky so far this year.  He played great tonight, awesome.  I love his energy too, but he has also had some stinker games as well.
