4-12 and TD garden is sold out. We may either be rebuilding or retooling, but the future is uncertain, but it doesn't matter, because we support the team no matter what. All I know is I'm glad to be bleeding green with the rest of y'all.

Lets go Celtics!!!

Was it sold out? It looked like quite a few empty seats.

Most season ticket holders fail to show up for all 41 home games, and this is probably one of those games they figured they'd miss since it's against a crappy Pistons team

Gorman mentioned very briefly. "Sold out crowd for the Boston Celtics."

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I remember taking a cab from the hotel to go see a game during 06-07, and the cabbie has one very pertinent question:

"The Celtics? Why?"

If that game last night was sold out, then every season ticket holder must have stayed home. My guess is there wasn't more than 13,000 - 14,000 in the barn. Gorman may have been mistaken, because that was one of the smallest crowds I have seen in a long time.

given the box score lists the attendance at 15870 http://www.nba.com/games/20141203/DETBOS/gameinfo.html?ls=slt i think its safe to say it was a technical sellout. its important to note that there is a difference between a sellout and max attendance.

i know in the past ownership has bought up any unsold tickets so they could list the game as a sellout, it wouldn't surprise me if there doing that or something similar again. still for a Wednesday night against Detroit 15870 is a very good number. they only seat 18624 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TD_Garden , 2754 empty seats means the building was 85.2% full.

People might've not shown up. I also tried buying a ticket the day before for a game, and it was sold out. The next day I saw like at least 20 seats missing. Either way, does anyone remember the Hawks home playoff attendance? Terrible.

Huh I see, well less than I thought. At least we got over 15000 for a really bad start to our season.

I am not sure, but I believe the listed attendance is the actual number of tickets that were sold, not how many attended the game. Also, as a former season ticket holder, I can tell you that this season I have gotten way more emails begging me to buy tickets than I got last year.

Yeah for whatever reason, the Hawks don't seem to draw well in Atlanta.

Did you catch the game on Tuesday?

Half the arena was empty and 25 percent were Celtics fans.

Yeah, I bought one of those mini-plans and whenever I try selling my tickets on NBA ticket exchange, I can't seem to get any takers.

But, in a way I was happy no one bought my tickets to the Bulls game last week.

Even though we lost, I enjoyed that game and it was kinda cool seeing Derrick Rose play.

Well...if one of those season ticket holders didn't wanna attend a game I would gladly hop on a plane from London and sit in their seat for the game! I've got the same problem with Football (soccer  ::) ) season ticket holders.  I'd gladly take any ticket just to be there!
