Coach,

Please tell me:

1. Why isn't Pressy running the second unit?
2. Do we have any set plays or is it gonna be 82 games of freestyling?
3. Can you please play Kelly as a small forward?
4. Is boxing out allowed in Boston?
5. I think we have too many people wanting to score. I love Bass but he shouldn't be our scoring option at the end of the shot clock.
6. Contested shots are awesome when falling but amateur when not (Atlanta). Please run some plays that find open shooters.

Yours truly

I disagree.

I prefer to watch Rondo stand there and try to direct traffic for 23 seconds and then shoot a desperation three.

I still want him as our coach for the long term but he has a lot to improve on...

1. Pressey is awful
2. We have set plays we just don't play defense
3. Would be a disaster, he already can't defend centers
4. We do out-rebound our opponents regularly
5. Bass has a pretty reliable J. But we do have a lot of guys on the 2nd unit who feel as though they're the #1 option.
6. They did run plays. They just don't play defense.

You're asking the wrong questions....

I hate to sound rude because I'm not trying to be, but your questions aren't good ones.

1) Pressey is a fringe NBA player.  He does some good things but much more often than not he belongs on the bench.
2) We do have set plays.
3) Please tell me you're joking.
4) Well, we do have Bass and Olynyk on our team.  We'd all love to see a better job of boxing out by our bigs.
5) Bass is not an option at the end of the shot clock.  It's a result of a stumbling offense (and some good defense by Atlanta, if tonight is what you're referring to).
6) We have open shooters quite frequently.  Offense is not the problem.

Why not Kelly as a small forward? Great passer, can shoot out long which creates matchup problems and he's getting slaughtered inside.

Other team's small forward would have a career night every night... Olynyk defending small forwards would be so cringe worthy my TV would probably break just having it on

I would have put Pressey in to cover Schroder in the fourth quarter when he was eating Rondo alive.

Only Pressey and Bradley can stay with quick guards.

Rondo can't.

Too slow to defend on perimeter.

Because he doesn't have the quickness to defend 3's.

Pressey is terrible at def.  He literally gets abused by everyone he guards.

All fair comments. It's just frustrating to watch us blow 20+ point leads.

The team is a plus 5.9 with Pressey on the floor.
He defends small, quick guards like Schroder well.

I don't know about Kelly at small forward. lol

You may have a point with the set play remark.

I'm beginning to get the feeling that teams are toying with the Celtics in the first half. The Hawks played with no urgency in the first half at all, falling behind by 23 points. They kind of asked the C's to show them what they had.
Then the Hawks in the second half really tightened up the defense, shutting down penetration, tightening up in general, to the games end result.

When things tighten up, it seems no one on the Celtics can get a good look, there offense gets desperate and unorganized.
