So Towns is going to look great in a Cs uniform. This team is unbelievably frustrating

He'll probably look just as good as Duncan, Oden, Durant, Wiggins, and Parker did in theirs

Fair point. Though I'm convinced after that final possession which was other worldly unlucky that the Bball Gods have great plans for this team finally

I would have been fine running our starters into the ground tonight to avoid blowing another big lead.  Who cares if we have a back to back, chances we're going to win both games are very low anyway.
I agree with this.  When things are falling apart the way they have recently, shorten the rotation and go with your best players. Of course one could argue that the Celtics don't have 5 decent players to go to.....

well hopefully we will at least get our shot in the lottery again, it is just painful to go through another season like last season, but it could be worse.

Oh my god, we lost - I'm shocked (sarcasm).  I don't know if anyone saw Tommy afterwards, but he keeps saying, as he has for 35 years now, at least, that you can run off of makes and made free throws, and, I hate to break it to him because I love the guy, but running all the time won't solve much of anything, if anything, at all, not to mention that we don't have the players to implement such a style, especially with KO and Sully.  I'm sorry, Tommy, but it's not going to happen.  Perhaps you should give Rondo all of the plays that your teams used when you both played and coached, and then we might see some progress.  At least it will be fun to watch.  I'm sure that he loved the Suns lead by Nash, but guess what - they never even made the finals.  Basketball is basketball, but things can and do change, but what do I know - I'm not a living legend who won a bunch of titles playing with Russell and Cousy, lol ;D.  Give it a rest, man, or, maybe he should do what Red did when Tommy was near the end of his coaching career, and come down from the stands and coach us to a win ;D.  Now, how do we get Stevens thrown out?;D

Well, for some odd reason there are people here who would trade our rebuilding situation with theirs.  I'm going to laugh hysterically if Philly doesn't get the #1 pick.

Why, oh why, do you want to be in the lottery with our own pick again?  Do you enjoy torturing yourself? ;D  That route NEVER WORKS FOR US.  We'll end up at least one or two spots away from the pick that we needed to grab one of the top 3-4 players.  That's how is was in 97, 07, and last year.  We are not Chicago or Cleveland who seem to be the league's new favorite franchises, going by their lottery 'luck.'  3 #1s for the Cavs in 4 years?  GIVE ME A BREAK!

It has to work sometime!  What else is there to look forward to after games like tonight? :)

I hope the Sixers draft 4th in a three man draft.

The futility of our post defense, was the 6-5 Bazemore  postering Sully on a dunk.  Yes, their guard slammed in over our PF.

As usual solid offense and boards but limited D from Sully.   I think he is our next Big Al, solid player in some regards and limited on D.

Zeller has to rebound better. Schroder ate Rondo alive at times on offense.  Rondo was leading rebounder and assists were stellar.   Bad on D as well though.  Jeff Green was solid.  AB had a nice game.

Hawks are the more talented team on paper, I think and expected this outcome.   But I had high hopes at half time, that we could win the game.   We are not a fourth quarter team.  We need a defensive big and ice blooded finisher-scorer.  Right, now we have the complimentary players and role players but lack a star.   Green played well, just not a first option/finisher.

Speaking of Parker, Parker did well against Queen James tonight.  League bailed him out with FTAs which they do on a night where he goes 6-15 from the field but 14-21 from the line.  Parker got his legit shooting 11-15 from the field with no league subsidy.  The Cavs won but Parker did well against the poster child of the league.
