Noah is incredibly annoying.  I guess I'm just not one of those guys that screams to get myself "amped up".  I was able to look the other way during the KG era, so there may be some bias here.  :)

Butler is twice the player that Iman Shumpert it.  They have a similar physical build.  That's it.

What do you guys think are the odds that joakim noah becomes available?  With the drose uncertainty I wouldn't be surprised if JN wants out at some point during this year.  It's been two years now that drose hasn't played at all, and now he's still picking and choosing the games he plays in.  JN contract is up at the end of next year so a potential trade before his contract expires could be a possibility.  Or maybe he just bolts when his contract expires.  I understand there is nothing to support this but it's a gut feeling that very soon he's gonna be tired of the uncertainty.  Also without another superstar in drose Chicago isn't as attractive as it was, regardless of the fact that right now they are one of the better teams with one of the better coaches.  Let me know what you guys think.

Doubt it. Major city, max money, great coach, players he's close with (including Rose), and Butler is a budding star.

Ditto...especially the coach part. Noah was born to play in Thibs' system.

He fits our system PERFECTLY as well.  Defensive minded, pass first team.  Plays with intensity.
were defensive minded? Lol

Butler is in a 10* better system.  If shump was on the bulls he'd put up almost the same numbers.  If your laughing at that you don't know anything about basketball.  Or maybe your one of those ignorant fans who blindly talks smack about teams in our division.  "I hate the Knicks so everyone they have is awful".  Or more realistically your one of those fans who only watches celtics game so you only judge talent by how they play against us.  Maybe look at espn every once in a while for season averages lol.  See them every day smh lol Hahahahaha.  Butler had a good game against us and now he's a budding star, good one.  Both players are high upside all around players.

Yea, I mean I'm not saying we're the best defense in the league, but I would say brad puts more emphasis on defense then offense.  Also with an elite rim protector maybe we are one of the better defenses.

The Celtics are in the bottom 5 of virtually every defensive metric out there; there's no logical way to call this a defense-first team whatsoever.  Conversely, they sport a top 3 offense.

The Celtics are defense-first in the same vein as the Sixers being win now.

Defense first.  Place more emphasis on defense.  Players get back in transition more often than crashing the offensive boards.  That's a defense first team....

And we have very good individual defenders, that's why I was saying with a rim protector we could be one of the better defenses.  Which I 100% believe we could.  Those metrics don't account for the rim protector I'm taking about lol.

If the Celtics are indeed defense-first, they're doing a god-awful job of adhering to that ideology.

Noah kind of annoyed me with all those unnecessary grunts. You'd think a tennis match was going on.

TP..that made me laugh...have thought the same thing before, especially when at the game.

He's a tool.  I can't stand the whole 'pew, pew, pew' thing that he does after he makes a jump shot once every two years ;D.  The entire routine makes him look like Sarah Palin out there lol ;D.

Oh, and then there's this ;D -

It seemed like he never missed an opportunity to grunt. You would think after a while you would give it a rest.

Hey, with the way he looks, you don't know how sexually active he is. Maybe the game is a release for him in more ways than one.

Great - thanks a lot.  Now I'm going to have nightmares (sarcasm) ;D.

Fun fact: Mark Jackson spent his first year starting Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry and talking about how they were a defensively-minded basketball team.  ;)

I watch portions of almost every NBA game, let alone sportscenter.  You're wrong.  Iman Shumpert is not a good player.  Jimmy Butler is a strong 2-way player with elite defensive ability.  If Shump was on the Bulls, he probably wouldn't get off the bench.  He can't knock down open shots consistently and he has too many lapses on defense.
