Last year we had to tank because it was a once in a generation draft full of franchise cornerstones. Forgive me if I don't get overly excited about next year's prospects yet.

Shows flashes of Kendrick Perkins.

It's just the beginning of the season, but it looks like it could be a special year for centers which is the Celtics' biggest need.  Okafor, Towns, Turner, WCS, D Johnson, Brimah

   Karl Towns
   Jahlil Okafor
   Emmanuel Mudiay
   Stanley Johnson
   Kelly Oubre
   Justice Winslow

are all nice players that I'd draft,  I'm really liking Stanley Johnson.

The rewards for tanking are high, perhaps even higher in this class.

I really like Mudiay, Towns, Okafor so far. And i would probably pick all 3 over Wiggins if we combined the 2 drafts.

IMO this draft is better than last years.

Interestingly, the hype is much less this year.

  • Celtic's only raise championship Banners
Towns would fit perfectly in our offense and anchor our interior defense . He is also a great passer and can keep the floor spread.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm glad we got Smart, aren't you?
I'd 100% do it all again if it meant we picked up a player of Smart's caliber.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I don't mind Smart, but I'm not sure he's a franchise player yet.
