In light of all the negative threads that were started (Bradley sucks, Rondo sucks, Stevens sucks, Olynyk should be benched, etc.) how about a discussion as to the fine play of Tyler Zeller.  I did not see the game, listened to some on the radio but what did everyone think of Zeller's game?  Was it an anomaly or can he keep it up?

He looks good. Tommy and Mike were talking about how he's smart and plays within himself. He runs and gets buckets at the rim for the most part and provides some size on D.

He can definitely keep it up, depending on how much time and what kind of opportunities he gets. Rondo and Turner set him up with nice passes in the lane.

82.6% shooting seems like a sustainable number.

I think he can continue to be productive in a 15-20 MPG role, but he's not going to continue shooting that well. Hopefully he gets a few more boards as that comes down.

the thread title sounds vaguely X rated.  :P

Zeller is a prime example of a player who keeps it simple. Doesnt try to do something he cant do. He just goes out there and runs the floor in transition, puts a body on opposing bigs, and he's surprised me with his passing. He made some really great passes to thornton and others last night cutting to the hoop.
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

I thought it was a Viagara ad.

More PT will mean more misses, I think.   Still he plays within his talents better than most on our roster.

Only his girlfriend knows for sure.  :D

Anyway.......moving right along .........  I think he'll get ALOT better ...not all star.........but solid bench player for many years .  He is strong  for his build , not injury prone ,   Seems to improve steady .

He just needs as much court time as he can get .   I see improvement nearly everytime he hits the floor .

He needs minutes to boost his confidence .

Good player. .....that was under utilized ......sorta like Asik.

  • You say when......
I think he will only get better., Right now he is following shots into the paint, hopefully soon he will develop the "nose" for the ball....looking at the shooter., and then getting in the most likely spot for the rebound.,..then finishing that rebound....That is next level for him. His defense is very good., and can still get better. Ref respect will come if he does these things. One or two post moves will help also., anyone can develop post moves, if you work at it the right way.

I don't think keeping it up will be a problem for him.  He's certainly very capable of putting it in the hole.  ;D

Zeller is very good.
It's too bad he plays on a team that likes to "go small" in the fourth quarter.
How is that working out by the way?

Innocent discussion about Zeller's impressive finishing inside.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing him start next to Sully. I like the idea of Kelly off the bench.
