What can I say I am done with avery bradley. Sure he can shoot pretty well and we all love his defense but its not worth it. He is not a smart enough player and that's being nice. I cringe when him and bass are out there trying to do to much because I know they're about to turn it over. Whether its dribbling off his foot to end a game or just telegraphing a pass he simply doesn't get it. He's a liability. It's like watching a middle schooler.

For god's sake,  I'm so tired of hearing people whine about the exact same garbage over, and over, and over,  and over...

Every day is the same garbage....Bradley sucks, Rondo sucks, x person sucks, Y person sucks...

If it's so unbearable watching these guys pay then why don't you start supporting the a Bulls?  I hear they have this superstar PG who's been paid nearly 50 million over the past three years to sit on the bench and complain about how his little ankles...because he doesn't want to have pain when hes going to his kids graduation one day!! And you think you have problems?

You have two of the toughest and most loyal two-way guards in the nba on this team and all you do is complain.

How many guards can you name who has made an all defensive team AND has averaged 14-15 PPG at the NBA level?

How many guards do you know who have gotten nearly 10% through the season averaging a mere rebounrd or two away from a triple double?

Thought so.

Gary Payton comes to mind.. Holds NBA record for most first team all defensive tied with KG, Jordan, and kobe. Also the only point guard to ever win defensive POY

i feel your pain. my solution is to refuse to get too wrapped up in the ideas of others, when i don't believe the ideas merit much consideration i pass by them. it helps keep my bp down and my mood up.  ;D

since cb does not have an "ignore" button i create one for myself. often i will see a thread title such as "the starting five sucks ping pong balls, why aren't pressey and fav all stars?" and i refuse to go there.

simple.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

At the risk of stating the obvious, Avery Bradley is no Gary Payton.

I'm also not sure how and exactly Gary Payton comes to mind. He's made the ASG averaging 16.5 ppg once. He was on a 63-win Seahawks team where 5 guys averaged 11+ shots a game, and no-one averaged more than 14.

All his other ASG appearances were in seasons where where he average 19 ppg or better.

A better guess would have been John Stockton, who's made multiple ASGs averaging 14-ish ppg. Of course, Bradley is obviously no Stockton either (and Stockton averaged almost as many assists as points in those seasons, too).

I think it would be safe to say that very few guards made the ASG on the merits of 15 ppg alone, even if they were good to great defenders. Raja Bell, for example, played two 15 ppg seasons on a good Phoenix Suns team,  and has nothing to show for it.

No way, I could have sworn I saw Gary Payton throw a good number of touchdowns... :P

Well the original question was to name a guard who has made all defensive teams while also averaging 15 ppg. So seeing that the glove holds the record for all defensive team nominations and is also the only pg to win DPOY with a career avg of 16 and change ppg, so yes that is why he came to mind first. But your choice of John Stockton is even more of a head scratching choice, seeing as how he was never known for defense..

This isn't something that I complain over and over about I've only made one post. I always loved AB the only player on the celtics I didn't like was Bass and it's for the same reason BBALL IQ it may be an over rated phrase but it definitely is noticeable on a basketball court. I love sullinger because I feel like he thinks the game well and comes from a basketball background. I didn't make a post about rondo when he dribbled the clock out the other night because I feel like he knows better and can learn. I'll admit I was a little frustrated last night when I created this account and bashed Avery but I'm afraid I could be right that he'll always be a liability on the court in the final minutes. I hope it just comes down to Marcus Smart in the game down the stretch and avery learning to limit his mental mistakes and give good dfense and shooting during the main part of a game.

You can say what you want about AB, yes... he makes some bone headed mistakes, and turns it over a little. (And yes I was p---ed at that dumb turnover at the end of the game.)

But Rondo and his free throw shooting is a serious problem. When he is being defended the player defending can really over play him. Knowing he can't hit free throws.
Did I read right...he's hitting 35%.

Oh duh, I read all-star, not all-defense. But that just makes the question easier.

Multiple guards have made all defense averaging way more than 15 ppg. Kobe, Chris Paul, Kidd and Michael Jordan, to name a few.

That is to say, they made all-defense in seasons where they averaged 15+ ppg. Otherwise, I don't think Kidd averaged 15 ppg for his career.

I would have traded Rondo and not resigned Bradley.

Neither is worth the money they are being paid.
